Happy Sunday, KikzBites Cravers💚

Take a deep breath. You made it through another week.

Whatever didn’t work out this week, don’t carry it into the new one. Some things take time, some plans need patience, and some doors simply need the right moment to open.

Rest today. Refuel your mind. Count your blessings. And remind yourself that you are still making progress, even when it doesn’t look like it yet.

May this new week bring you beautiful opportunities, genuine connections, answered prayers and reasons to smile.

Keep going. Your story is still unfolding.

Happy Sunday!

BAKING TIP OF THE DAY

Your meat pie filling can ruin your pastry.

Yes, the filling matters just as much as the dough!

If your meat pie filling is too watery, it can make the inside of your pastry soggy and may even make sealing difficult.

✨ Cook your filling until excess liquid reduces.

✨ Allow it to cool before filling your pastry.

✨ Don't overfill, more filling doesn't always mean a better meat pie.

A good meat pie should have the right balance: flaky pastry + tasty, well-prepared filling.

What's your favourite part of a meat pie the pastry or the filling?

Heat reveals what you're made of.

A cake doesn't become a cake by sitting on the counter.

It needs heat.

And sometimes, life puts us through uncomfortable seasons too.

Pressure.
Challenges.
Delays.
Disappointments.

But just like heat transforms ingredients, difficult seasons can transform us.

They can teach us patience.
They can build resilience.
They can reveal our strength.

Don't be afraid of every difficult season. Some seasons are preparing you for what comes next.

💬 What's one difficult experience that taught you an important lesson?

BAKING TIP OF THE DAY!

Making meat pies, sausage rolls or other pastries? Don’t skip the chilling step!

After preparing your pastry dough, allow it to rest in the refrigerator before rolling and baking.

Why? Chilled dough is easier to handle, produces a better texture, and helps reduce excessive shrinking during baking.

If your dough feels too soft or sticky while working with it, don’t keep adding flour. Chill it first!

Small baking adjustments can make a BIG difference.
