Not every irregular period is PMOS.

And not every PMOS looks the same.

Let me help you understand the difference:

PMOS
Main driver: Insulin resistance, high androgens (male hormones), disrupted ovulation.

Signs: Irregular or absent periods, excess facial/body hair, acne along jawline, weight gain around belly, dark patches on neck or armpits, difficulty losing weight.

Key herbs: Myo-Inositol, Vitex, Spearmint, Berberine, Flaxseed, Cinnamon.

ENDOMETRIOSIS
Main driver: Endometrial tissue growing outside the uterus.
Signs: Extremely painful periods (not just uncomfortable), pain during s*x, pain with bowel movements during period, heavy bleeding.

Key herbs: Turmeric, Vitex, Omega-3, Milk Thistle, Magnesium, Calendula.

HYPOTHYROIDISM (Underactive Thyroid)
Main driver: Poor thyroid function → disrupted all hormones.

Signs: Irregular periods AND cold hands/feet, unexplained weight gain, hair thinning, constipation, brain fog, depression.
Key herbs: Ashwagandha, Selenium, Tyrosine, Iodine

SIMPLE HORMONAL IMBALANCE
Main driver: Stress, poor nutrition, or overexercise.
Signs: Irregular timing but manageable flow, responds to lifestyle changes
Key herbs: Vitex, Shatavari, Ashwagandha, Magnesium

Getting the right diagnosis changes everything.

Come to DM before you order. I will help you figure out which category you are in.

Chia seeds and Flaxseeds are not the same thing and they don't do the same job.

CHIA:
Hydration, gut transit, omega-3
Forms a gel that slows sugar absorption
Works whole, no grinding needed

FLAXSEED:
Hormonal balance via lignans that bind excess oestrogen
Must be ground to be absorbed
Best for heavy periods, fibroid support, PMS

Both are affordable.
Both are available.
Both should be in your kitchen.

Your menstrual cycle is not one hormonal state that changes once a month. It is four distinct biological phases, each with its own hormonal environment, its own energy demands, its own nutritional needs, and its own ideal herbal support.

Most women take the same herbs, eat the same food, and maintain the same routine across all four phase, which is like wearing the same outfit to every kind of weather and wondering why you are always uncomfortable.

Phase one is menstruation: Days one to five. Estrogen and progesterone are at their lowest. Your body is shedding and losing iron, magnesium, and zinc. The herbs that serve you here are the ones that ease the process, Ginger and chamomile for cramping, raspberry leaf for uterine efficiency, nettle for mineral replacement.

Phase two is the follicular phase: Days six to thirteen. Estrogen begins rising. Energy increases. Cognitive sharpness improves. This is your most productive phase. The herbs that serve you here are the energising and estrogen-supporting ones like maca, shatavari, and green tea.

Phase three is ovulation: Around day fourteen. Estrogen peaks. This is your most socially and physically energised phase. Support it with anti-inflammatory foods and light adaptogenic herbs.

Phase four is the luteal phase: Days fifteen to twenty-eight. Progesterone rises then falls. This is when PMS appears if your progesterone is insufficient or your estrogen is dominant. The herbs that serve you here are the progesterone-supporting ones like Vitex, magnesium, and B6-rich foods.

"Your cycle is a map. Learn to study it".

Let's talk about Estrogen Conspiracy:

Estrogen Conspiracy; Hormone Truths Nobody Told You About.

Your last hormone panel came back "normal." So why do you still feel like your body is working against you?

Here's what nobody explains at your appointment:

"Normal" labs test don't mean balanced hormones. Lab ranges are wide, and wide doesn't mean optimal. You can sit inside "normal" and still feel completely off.

Birth control doesn't fix your cycle, it mutes it. It overrides your natural hormone signaling rather than correcting what's actually happening underneath. The moment you stop, whatever was there before often comes back, sometimes worse.

You can't understand hormones by looking at hormones alone. Your liver, your gut, your stress levels, your blood sugar, they all fall into the hormone conversation.

Treating hormones in isolation is like reading one sentence and skipping the rest of the story.

Your liver processes your estrogen. If your liver is sluggish or overloaded, that estrogen doesn't clear properly, it recirculates. This is where Milk Thistle and Dandelion Root comes in, supporting the liver so it can actually do it job.

Cortisol wrecks your cycle before your hormone panel ever catches it. Chronic stress quietly disrupts your reproductive hormones long before a lab test shows anything unusual. This is why we always bring adaptogens into hormone protocols, not just Vitex.

Painful periods are common. They are not normal. Common means a lot of women experience it. Normal means your body is functioning as it should. Those are two very different things.

If any of these hit, herbs like Vitex, Milk Thistle, and Ashwagandha work together, not in isolation, to actually support the full picture hormone signaling (vitex), liver clearance(milk thistle), and stress regulator (Ashwagandha).

For any of this herbs, seeds and many more you can reach out via DM. Thanks
