A WISH TO MYSELF
I don’t usually take the time to wish myself anything, but today I want to wish myself a very happy birthday. This year feels different, not because of my age, but because I’m stepping into a truer, stronger version of myself. I’ve learned that nothing is more important than self-love, and I’m proud of how far l’ve come.
It may seem small to others, but not to me. l’ve climbed mountains to be where l am, and cherish every moment of this journey. I remind myself that I don’t need anyone’s approval to feel important. I will always be there for myself.

Today, I choose strength.
The past 9 months have tested me in ways I never imagined. I lost my mother… and just days ago, I said goodbye to someone so dear to my heart. The pain is real, and the silence they left behind is loud.
But today is my birthday.
And even in the middle of grief, I choose to stand. I choose to breathe. I choose to be grateful for life, for love, and for every memory that still lives in me.
I carry their love with me into this new year. I carry their strength. I carry their light.
This new chapter will not break me — it will build me.
I am still here. I am still standing. And I will find reasons to smile again.
