Sometimes (Most times) it’s not just because it looks or tastes good, but because of what it’s doing to keep me supported through a full week.

What’s one thing that never leaves your weekly rotation? 👇

Hot take: multitasking isn’t always the villain.

There are usually a few sides to this coin. Some people fully believe it’s possible to multitask well, and others not so much, because surely you can’t split yourself or mind into two.

Well, I think with some tasks it works. When the mental load is uneven, you can have somewhat of a happy medium.

What two things do you pair together that just works? 👇

My feed never fails to deliver.
Always learning, so here’s a sneak peek into my watch history from last week.

Save this post if there’s any you want to add to your watch list this week.

I recommend at least one, thank me later ☺️

Which ones have you ignored or are ignoring? 👀
Definitely all of them and more for me, but that’s why everyday is a school day.

Someone once said, if you can take time to learn about how to style a wig etc. You can take time to learn about your hair, and how to take care of it well.

Grateful for everything April had to offer, so let’s catch up on a little bit of the month.

Slide 2 - I can never get tired of being in awe of the sky.
Slide 3 - The mornings were brighter, showing up was easier.
Slide 4-6 - New connections over food is always a shout.
Slide 7-9 - Gave my palette something new and it was a hit.
7 - cooking raw butter beans for the first time. The beans are a lot bigger in size than the can ones. Unsure why.
8 - got recommended red pesto for pasta, and I thought why not add olives too. Don’t think I’ll ever cook pasta a different way.
9 - Yet another recommended because I will try it all. German Lentil Soup. Gave a different profile of ewa oloyin beans vibe but with a lot more nutrients. I like.
Slide 10 - The said pasta. For the sake of choosing my best plate this month. This takes it. Not sure it’s because I was surprised by how unseasoned fish and soy sauce with aromatics would taste so good. Or the great marriage of rigatoni, red pesto and olives… yet to decide.
Check out for more plates from April because 20 slides isn’t enough.
Slide 11-13 - Me 🤝🏾 refusing that my hair has to be “done” to deem it nice or tidy.
13 - the joy of split ends and dead ends.
Slide 14-15 - Podcast studio shopping for 🎙️ Shot a really insightful episode that I can’t wait for you to listen in on.
Slide 16 - Everyday I think about getting a cast iron pot, so even if I was meant to be walking straight ahead - took a right turn into this new shop and I wasn’t disappointed. Didn’t buy anything though, I won.
Slide 17 - Since I don’t have a juicer, juice shops tempted me this month.
Slide 18 - A restaurant I didn’t regret going to, the food actually had flava
Slide 19 - Audiobook of the month. A lot of noise on the internet because of short form content, decided to spend 9hrs understanding first.
Slide 20 - At the beginning, in the middle and at the end of it all. The word of God is Truth. His Way is better.

Alexa play - Your Way’s Better by Forrest Frank.

Let’s go again in May.
I hope I see more cherry blossoms this month, but they’re only here for 2 mins🥲

If you are looking for some inspo for your next natural hairstyle, here’s one!

The residue eventually dried off, so I guess it worked out well in the end. It definitely helps with the illusion of thicker fuller hair!

A friend asked: “Is it possible to embrace slower living in today’s world?”

Yes, but it costs something.
It’s costs the courage to stand by what you actually want out of life. Not what the feed says is nice. Not what the podcast says is great. Not what the workplace thinks is a good idea. Certainly not what the next person is saying.

Easier said than done, but it can be done.

I highly recommend reading The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer.

It reminded me of art of being human.
