Cost and Tax Account Officer Needed!!!

VACANCY: ACCOUNTANT

Holy Rosary Vocational and Innovative Institute, Igbo-Ukwu, Anambra State is seeking to recruit a competent, diligent, and experienced Accountant to join its Finance and Accounts Department.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all accounting transactions.
- Ensure all financial transactions are promptly captured in QuickBooks.
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile trade receivables and trade payables.
- Ensure timely processing of bank payments.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
- Prepare monthly payroll.
- Compute taxes and prepare statutory tax returns.
- Monitor and report on the organization's financial health and liquidity.
- Audit financial transactions and supporting documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and perform periodic database backups.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, statutory requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records for the Institute's bakery operations, including sales, production costs, inventory, and daily cash collections.
- Monitor bakery inventory (flour, sugar, yeast, packaging materials, and other raw materials), reconcile stock movements, and prepare periodic inventory reports.
- Analyze the bakery's production costs, profit margins, and operational performance, and provide management with recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
- Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by Management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–3 years' accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACA, ANAN, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
