HOW TO PRAY WITH YOUR ELEMENT

In our tradition as Africans as a whole, no one is empty. Every human being is born under the influence of an element...be it Earth, Water, Fire, or Air. This element shapes your spiritual strength, your natural gifts, and even the way your Chi relates with you.

Today I want to teach on how you can pray with your element, which also means aligning yourself with the very force that naturally governs your existence....so that your voice and your intentions can carry weight in the spiritual realm.

Praying with your element is not about long speeches but about harmony, and about allowing your inner spirit to connect with Creation in truth.

Number 1. If you are a Water Child Know This....

Water is a symbol of renewal, and abundance, and fertility, and peace. When you pray as a water child, face a water body, or a clean bowl of water or stream. Place kola nut or alligator pepper beside it, and speak your heart while touching the water. Water carries your voice faster to the spirit world as one of their own, so performing this simple task can go a long way to your speedy answer.

After prayers, drink a little of the water, wash your face, and pour the rest back to the earth.

Number 2. If you are an Earth Child Know This....

The Earth is foundation, Earth is stability, and it is nourishment. When you pray as Nwa Ala, sit down or kneel on the bare earth. Place your palm directly on the soil and pour a libation of palm wine or even clean water to the ground as an offering. Afterwards, speak your petitions into the earth for Ala is the Mother that never refuses her child.

Number 3. If you are a Fire Child Know This.....

Fire is transformation, fire is power, and it is cleansing. As a fire child, when you want to pray, light a white or red candle...or even a small fire with dry wood. Sit before it and speak your words into the flame for it burns away obstacles and carries your intention upward like smoke. End your prayer by passing your hands over the flame gently, thereby pulling the energy back to yourself for strength.

Number 4. If you are an Air Child Know This....

Air is movement, Air is wisdom, and it is expansion. When you pray stand outside where the breeze can touch you. You can blow dust into the air, or alligator pepper, or even your breath into the wind as you speak. Air spreads your prayer to the four corners of the earth, so declaring your intentions and requests into the air is a speedy way to the answers to your prayers.

Afterwards, stay silent for a moment and listen. Oftentimes, answers come to you as silent voices of your thoughts.

Why This Matters....

Praying with your element is not a strange act. It is returning to the original covenant between your Chi and the forces of nature. When you align with your element in prayer, your words have double weight. Your inner spirit is also refreshed, and your path is made clearer.

The beginning of all cycles, take our some moment. Find your element(You can consult Afa if you don't know your element), and commune with it, and let your Chi guide your tongue.

Do not do this with fear. Do it with truth, and you will see how the doors of blessing and clarity will open will open for you.
