VISUAL HIERARCHY in Design.
Visual hierarchy is simply how you arrange elements in a design to control what people see FIRST, SECOND, and THIRD.
Because when everything is loud…
nothing stands out.
That’s the problem with many beginner designs:
• Too many fonts
• Too many colors
• Everything is bold
• No spacing
• No clear focal point
The viewer becomes confused and doesn’t know where to look.
Good design guides the eyes naturally.
If someone looks at your design for 3 seconds, they should immediately know:
1. The main message
2. Supporting information
3. What action to take
So how do you improve visual hierarchy?
Start with these:
• Make the most important text bigger
• Use contrast intentionally
• Reduce clutter
• Leave breathing space
• Limit font styles
• Use alignment properly
• Don’t make every element compete for attention
A good design is not just about adding more…
It’s about arranging information intelligently.
Design should lead the eyes any not stress them.
