Blessings My Family of Light ✨️😁...

i never realized just how happy i could be... in Nepal currently and have been here almost a month... the hotel was recommended by a woman from our program. it's like a family here... small so i know everyone and the people are so helpful, smiling and shining... everyday has been a pleasure... Nepal is a nation of very helpful and kind people, i got lost once and everyone was helpful getting me back... i never felt afraid... it's a pretty awesome place...

i spend most of my time visiting temples 🛕 and sitting on the deck by my room... sometimes the heat is more than i want to be in but nights and mornings are beautiful... i usually get up at dawn because the ravens sit in the tree outside my room and give me a wakeup call... 😂 sit on the deck and meditate for a couple of hours until breakfast (included with room) altho you could ask for it anytime...

Nepalese food is not as heated as Indian (i love the spice)... i think it's made less spicy to appeal to folks from other countries who are not accustomed to the heat...

what i enjoy is meeting people from all over the world 🌎 and finding out what it's like in their countries... lots of younger people looking to find their way to purpose... so much fun talking with them... or just seeing the world with enormous backpacks in tow 😁 so happy to not be doing that 😂... i keep shedding more clothes and belongs as i go... lighten the load is a goal i have been steadily pursuing...

i climbed 500 steps to a Kali temple... not one sore muscle 💪 i was so proud... stood in line with Hindi folks. sometimes people like me aren't even allowed in the actual temple... they didn't stop me and it was an amazing experience... no pics allowed inside. it is considered disrespectful and is probably why people that look like me are at times turned away...

i love being able to namaste all day every day... 🙏🙏🙏 ! it is such a beautiful way to say hello and show respect... it always brings me a huge smile... 😁 i have learned to always look down because there are so many ways to end up on my nose... very uneven steps and narrow sidewalks

i visited a Buddhist temple or stupa (a dome-shaped structure erected as a Buddhist shrine...) another experience i could do over and over... a huge shrine where thousands of people walk around with malas in hand, in deep meditation... seems the temples (at least the ones i have been to) have areas where people can feed the birds 🐦

the schools are expanding in many ways... more on that in future posts...

i do miss the bulls 🐃 and dogs 🐕 i made friends with and hope to spend a lot of my time with them in the future. ✨️

for now i will be traveling and becoming accustomed to India 🇮🇳. i have been told it takes 3 years to be fully acclimated... to become one with India and it's people (and learn to speak Hindi... ) i have several friends who are encouraging and helping me to learn.

i feel so fortunate to be able to live this dream. Sam has been working hard so i have been traveling alone and getting the hang of it... no fear... a little frustration 🫤 (India definitely moves on it's on time)... i have gotten accustomed to going with the flow and enjoying the sights and people i meet wherever i am.

well my lovelies. time for dinner 🍽... eating with your fingers 👋 is acceptable and sometimes i do that too... trying to learn the scoop and eat method 😋♥️🫂
