I realised I never actually shared that the newest episode of The View We Carry is now live. šŸ¤

The View We Change is a reflection on what happens when the way we see something no longer fits who we are becoming.

Sometimes a belief once made sense.
Sometimes a view helped us survive, belong, or understand ourselves.
And sometimes, with more life, healing, experience, and self-trust, we begin to see things differently.

That doesn’t always mean the old version of us was wrong.

It might simply mean we’ve changed.

This episode is about giving ourselves permission to let our perspective move, soften, expand, and evolve — without shame for what we once believed.

šŸŽ§ The View We Change is now available on Spotify.

Darfield, I’m coming home this weekend šŸ¤

This Saturday I’ll be at the Spiritual Wellness Expo in Darfield with Pure Connection, alongside Breath & Being — and I’m really looking forward to spending the day surrounded by so many beautiful local practitioners, makers and wellness spaces.

I’ll be there talking all things breathwork, tarot and intuitive guidance, so if you’ve ever wondered what breathwork actually feels like, whether it might be for you, or you simply feel like coming over for a chat, please do.

There’ll be around 20 stalls to explore, so it’s a lovely chance to wander, connect and see what you’re drawn to.

I’ll also have a few little Pure Connection extras happening on the day ✨

If you’re heading along, come and say hi — I’d genuinely love to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones.

See you in Darfield this Saturday šŸ¤

I lit three candles.

One for my mother’s line.
One for my father’s line.
And one for me.

I wasn’t cutting myself away from my family.

I was releasing the belief that love requires me to keep carrying what hurt the people who came before me.

The silence.
The shame.
The fear.
The patterns repeated so many times they began to feel like inheritance.

As the candles burned, each family line had its moment in the flames.

First one rose.
Then the other.

And when both had finished burning, my candle remained.

Still lit.
Still strong.
Still here.

It felt like a reminder that healing my family line does not mean rejecting where I came from.

It means honouring it enough to tell the truth.

I can love those who came before me without continuing their pain.
I can understand what shaped them without allowing it to shape everything that comes after them.
I can belong without betraying myself.
I can carry forward the wisdom and lay down the wounds.

Some patterns survive because nobody feels safe enough to name them.

Some burdens pass through generations because each person believes they are theirs to carry.

But perhaps healing begins when one person finally says:

This reached me—but it will not move through me.

I will not pass on silence where there can be truth.
Fear where there can be safety.
Shame where there can be compassion.
Pain where there can be choice.

I am not ending my connection to those who came before me.

I am choosing a new way to remain connected.

Through love, not suffering.
Through truth, not silence.
Through freedom, not inherited obligation.

It stops with me.

But I do not stop.

I continue—and something new begins with me. šŸ¤

There are some things we carry for so long, we forget to question whether they were ever ours to hold in the first place.

The weight of other people’s choices.
The responsibility for what happened.
The pressure to keep the peace.
The stories we learned to carry because, at the time, we didn’t know what else to do.

Today I felt some of that weight leave my shoulders.

Not because the past changed.
Not because everything suddenly became easy.
But because something in me finally recognised:

I don’t have to keep carrying this.

Sometimes release isn’t forgetting.
Sometimes it’s simply returning what was never yours, and allowing your body to soften around the space that creates.

Maybe there’s something your shoulders are ready to put down too. šŸ¤

Today I dropped in deep.

And when I really let my body take the lead… I move.

My arms move, constantly.
I kneel.
I sit up.
I stand.
I cough.
I hold my breath.
I dance.
I giggle.
I cry.

At one poin today, it felt like there were hundreds of bees crawling over my arms — and without thinking, I started shaking them off.

Sometimes sounds come through too.

It can be low, almost a growlĀ
It can be high like a waiata

Often, what feels like an ancient warrior chant comes out of me.

Yes… it can be a lot. šŸ˜‚

I live and breathe breathwork, and over time I’ve become very comfortable letting go into the experience.

Today my mind said:

"I probably look possessed."

And instantly, the answer that came back was:

ā€œThat’s because I am, by my body.ā€

Not possessed by something outside of me.

Possessed by what my body needs.

My mind isn’t directing any of it.
It’s almost sitting somewhere in the background watching it unfold.

People have asked me what that feels like, and the closest comparison I have is lucid dreaming.

You’re there.
You’re aware.
You know what’s happening.

But you’re not consciously deciding what happens next.

My mind isn’t thinking, now sit up… now move your arms… now make that sound.

My body simply does.

And I get to witness it.

That, for me, is one of the most fascinating parts of going deeply into my own breathwork.

For a little while, my mind doesn’t have to be the one in control.

My body gets to speak.

And today, apparently, she had quite a lot to say. šŸ¤

Today felt like the perfect day to let the whole house exhale.

The windows were open, the most beautiful wind was moving through every room, and I finally had the opportunity to try my new sage.

Nothing elaborate—just fresh air, a little smoke, and the intention to clear what felt ready to move on.

The house feels lighter.

And honestly, so do I. šŸ¤

Shorter doesn’t have to mean less. šŸ¤

That’s one of the things I love about The Breath Reset.

It’s 60 minutes set aside to step out of the noise of the day, come back into your body, and breathe — without needing to find a huge window of time in an already full life.

And I loved receiving these words from Tanya, one of my regular breathers. There can still be so much depth in the shorter sessions, just held within a different rhythm.

If you’ve been curious about breathwork but wondering where you’d fit it in, The Breath Reset might be your place to begin.

Procrastination has impeccable timing šŸ˜‚

I’ve been meaning to fix the rabbit hutch for two days.

Could I have done it during daylight? Absolutely.

Did I instead decide, right after tea tonight, that now was clearly the moment?

Also yes.

And in a completely expected turn of events… it got dark. šŸ˜‚

Sometimes I think procrastination isn’t even about not wanting to do the thing. It’s that strange little resistance that keeps saying, ā€œlater will be betterā€ — until later is you, outside in the dark, wondering why you didn’t just do it at 2pm.

Anyway… the rabbits are sorted. The job is done. And apparently tonight’s lesson was:

Doing the thing rarely takes as much energy as avoiding the thing. šŸ¤
