Alongside our aesthetic services, EDIT by Coastlines Health provides clinical infusion services in Central Hawke’s Bay, offering another local option for patients who may otherwise need to travel for appropriate supportive treatment.

One area of this service is supporting women experiencing significant nausea and vomiting in pregnancy or hyperemesis.

For midwives, obstetricians and GPs caring for women who live in Central Hawke’s Bay, I can support your existing management plan by providing IV rehydration and administration/dispensing of prescribed medications, where clinically appropriate.

I’m Dr Lorelei Hennessy. I live in Central Hawke’s Bay and work clinically in Hastings, with a previous background as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse and extensive experience in acute care.

The purpose of this service is simple: to complement the care already being provided and, where possible, keep Central Hawke’s Bay women closer to home.

This may be particularly helpful approaching the Christmas and New Year period, when usual services, staffing and travel can become more challenging.

For women experiencing significant nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, please speak with your midwife, GP or obstetric team about whether local supportive treatment may be appropriate. Treatment at EDIT is arranged in conjunction with your treating clinician.
