wantok system back fire
WHEN WANTOKISM & POLITICAL CONNECTIONS DRIVE APPOINTMENTS, SCHOOLS PAY THE PRICE.
When school heads are appointed based on wantokism, political influence, or personal connections rather than merit and leadership, the consequences can be disastrous.
The situation at Kui Wamp Nga Secondary School is a timely reminder: when the wrong people are placed in the wrong positions, the system eventually fires back.
School leadership must be based on merit, integrity, competence and proven leadershipโnot connections.
Education should never be a political reward.
