Leadership is not limited to managers.
It begins when a worker notices a hazard, speaks up, and helps correct it—before someone gets hurt.
See it. Say it. Help correct it.

Training attendance is only the beginning.
Real learning happens when workers practise, demonstrate the correct procedure, receive feedback, and apply it consistently at work.
Teach. Practise. Observe. Reinforce.

Good housekeeping is more than keeping the workplace tidy—it prevents slips, trips, falls, and other injuries.
Clear the walkway. Secure loose cords. Correct hazards before someone gets hurt.

Reporting illness is part of responsible food handling.
When food handlers feel unwell, they should speak up immediately so management can assess the situation and protect both customers and co-workers.

YOU’VE BEEN ASKED TO PREPARE A CSHP. NOW WHAT?
You open the template.
There are sections, tables, safety requirements, names to assign, hazards to identify, controls to establish—and suddenly you're wondering:
Where do I even start?
Preparing a Construction Safety and Health Program should not be a copy-and-paste exercise.
The document needs to reflect the **actual project, actual work activities, actual hazards, and actual controls** that will be implemented on site.
On October 31, 2026, Safe Plates & Workspaces will conduct a CSHP Tutorial designed to help participants understand how the different parts of the program come together.
Not simply what to write—
but why it is there and how to make it applicable to the project.
More details coming soon.

DON’T WAIT FOR AN ACCIDENT TO PROVE THAT A HAZARD WAS THERE.
A loose cable.
A blocked walkway.
A wet floor.
A missing machine guard.
An unsafe shortcut that has become “normal.”
When we see a hazard, we have two choices:
Ignore it because nothing has happened yet—or act before something does.
Good workplace safety is not measured only by the absence of accidents.
It is also measured by the hazards we identify and correct before anyone gets hurt.
See the hazard. Act before someone gets hurt.
