True faith is knowing you don’t have all the answers… but choosing to rest anyway, trusting that God will reveal what you need to know in His perfect time. ✨
Being an autism mom for 22 years has taught me so much about how important faith is in my journey as a mother.
But honestly, it wasn’t until about 5 years ago that I truly surrendered every anxious moment, every tantrum, every sleepless night Ethan and Bailey had…to the Lord.
For years, I carried the weight like everything depended on me.
Trying to fix. Trying to control. Trying to hold everything together.
Then I realized, God never asked me to carry it all alone.
The moment I fully surrendered and trusted that He is in control, something in me changed. It allowed me to rest, to breathe and to feel less anxious.
It didn’t mean the hard days disappeared. Nope.
But it meant I no longer faced them alone.
Looking back now, I honestly don’t think I could’ve survived all those years without clinging onto the Lord. It is such a blessing to know the Lord and to have Him in our lives.
Can I get an Amen?!
After more than a month, I still have Bali hangover. 😩Thinking about my trip on this cool gloomy day in Raincouver. Come out Mr. Sun! ☀️ 🙏🏻
“They told us to fear fat…
But maybe we should’ve been paying more attention to sugar. 👀
What we eat affects more than just our weight — it affects our BRAIN. 🧠
For some children on the spectrum, too much sugar may show up as:
⚡ Hyperactivity
😵💫 Dysregulation
🎢 Mood swings
🧩 Difficulty focusing
For adults, it can look like:
☁️ Brain fog
😴 Fatigue
🧠 Memory issues
📉 Cognitive decline over time
This doesn’t mean you can never enjoy sugar again.
It means we need to become more aware of what chronic excess sugar may be doing to our bodies and brains over time.
Food is information.
And the brain is listening.

Some moms train for aesthetics.
Some moms train for survival, strength, longevity, and purpose - that’s me.
As a mom to 2 boys on the autism spectrum, I don’t work out just to “cut” or “bulk.” 💪🏻
I train because I need the energy to show up.
The strength to regulate myself before I regulate my home.
The endurance to keep going even on the hard days.
Here’s a reminder for all moms out there:
Taking care of your health is not selfish.
For many moms, it’s necessary.
To all the mothers carrying invisible loads every single day — especially the special needs moms — I see you. 😘
May we continue choosing strength, healing, and longevity… not just for ourselves, but for the people who need us most. 🙏🏻

I’m becoming cringe in 2026 and honestly… I don’t care anymore 😂
Because maybe my story helps another autism mom feel less alone.
Maybe my wellness journey helps another woman heal.
Maybe showing up imperfectly is better than never showing up at all. 🤷🏻♀️
I’m not here to pretend life is perfect.
I’m here to talk about:
- Autism parenting
- Functional wellness
- Gut health
- Perimenopause
- My Faith
- Healing in real life
If that resonates with you, I’m glad you’re here.😊
So hi, I’m Janise 👋

Happy mother’s day to my fabulous, energetic and resilient Mom! I pray to have the same energy and self-care that you have when I reach the age of 85. Cause I’m just turning 50 soon and I have no energy to look pretty and take off my make up every single day like you. 😂
