JPMorgan is raising concerns about a possible global food-price shock in 2027, as several problems are happening at the same time — rising fertilizer and energy costs, geopolitical conflicts, disrupted supply chains, and the growing threat of a strong El Niño.
Their analysts estimate global food inflation could reach around 5% in the first half of 2027.
The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization has also warned that food prices could start increasing more significantly toward the end of 2026 and into 2027.
Does this mean the world will suddenly run out of food? No. But it does mean food could become more expensive and harder to afford, especially in countries that depend heavily on imports.
For me, this is another reminder that preparedness isn't about panic — it's about being ready.

Kaya importante talaga na may anti-choking device sa emergency kit. Kapag may nalunok o nakabara sa daanan ng hangin at hindi makahinga, every second counts.
