The Last Heir

Episode 1

Centuries ago, in the hidden Realm of Spirits, there existed a magnificent kingdom unlike any other.

Its ruler was known throughout the realm as King Azarion. He possessed extraordinary power, but what truly earned him the respect of his people was his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering sense of justice.

Every decision he made was fair, and every judgment reflected compassion. Because of this, the citizens of the Spirit Realm loved and honored him.

King Azarion's wealth, magical abilities, and mighty army were legendary. Yet none of these treasures were as precious to him as his only daughter, Princess Elara.

Elara was not just a princess. She was the sole heir to the kingdom and the future ruler of the Spirit Realm.

From an early age, King Azarion taught her more than magic and royal traditions. He taught her mercy, courage, and the importance of serving her people.

But behind the smiles of the royal court, envy was quietly growing.

The king's own brothers had secretly desired the throne for many years. They knew that as long as Elara remained alive, the crown would never belong to them.

So they devised a plan.

They wanted Elara to marry one of their sons. That way, when King Azarion eventually passed away, the throne would remain within their branch of the family.

At first, they presented the idea politely.

However, King Azarion always responded with the same calm smile.

"My daughter is not a prize to be given away according to someone's ambition. She will marry only where her heart finds happiness."

Every time they heard those words, their resentment grew stronger.

Months passed.

One day, Elara traveled beyond the royal city to a peaceful valley located near the border between the Spirit Realm and the Human World.

She loved the place.

Ancient trees covered the hillsides, crystal-clear water flowed through a sparkling lake, and a deep silence rested over the valley.

There, fate changed her life forever.

She met a young human named Ethan.

He was neither wealthy nor the son of a king.

He was simply an honest, brave, and kind-hearted young man.

Elara first noticed him when he risked his own life to save an injured deer from a dangerous predator.

His courage impressed her immediately.

That day marked their first meeting.

Soon, their paths crossed again.

And again.

Their conversations became friendships.

Their friendship slowly blossomed into love.

Neither of them realized that dark shadows were already gathering around the royal throne.

Meanwhile, the conspiracy of King Azarion's brothers had entered its final stage.

Only a few days later, a shocking announcement spread throughout the palace.

King Azarion had suddenly died from a mysterious illness.

The entire kingdom was plunged into mourning.

Citizens wept in the streets.

Soldiers lowered their heads in grief.

Every voice spoke of the loss of the greatest ruler the Spirit Realm had ever known.

But no one knew the truth.

The king had not died naturally.

It was murder.

His own brothers, aided by greedy nobles and corrupt palace guards, had secretly arranged his assassination.

Their goal was simple:

Remove every obstacle standing between them and the throne.

The truth was buried behind the palace walls.

Those who knew what had happened either remained silent out of fear or had become part of the conspiracy themselves.

Yet not everyone had abandoned the king.

Among his loyal followers was a young spirit warrior named Kael.

For many years, Kael had served as one of King Azarion's most trusted guardians.

When he discovered the truth, he was devastated.

Rage burned within him, but he understood the danger.

If he exposed the conspiracy too soon, he would be killed, and no one would remain to seek justice for the royal family.

So Kael chose silence.

But deep within his heart, he made a solemn vow.

Looking toward the night sky, he whispered:

"My King... today I am powerless. But I swear that I will remain loyal to your bloodline. No matter the cost, even if I must sacrifice my own life, I will protect what you entrusted to us."

Kael knew the conspiracy was far from over.

The king's brothers would stop at nothing to secure the throne.

For now, he would wait patiently for the right moment.

What he did not know was that his greatest test of loyalty was still ahead...

The Boy in the Shadows – Part 2

It was around 11:30 PM.

The entire house was unnaturally silent.

The same house...

Where Hamza’s laughter had echoed only a few days ago.

Tonight, everyone’s eyes were fixed on the clock.

Sarah kept Hamza close beside her.

She gently ran her fingers through his hair again and again.

As if she feared that if she let go for even a moment...

Something terrible might happen.

Ali stood by the window, staring out at the backyard.

The same swing.

The same old dried Sheesham tree.

The same darkness.

But for the first time...

A question haunted his mind.

A question he had been avoiding for days.

Was Hamza really imagining everything?

Suddenly...

Knock... Knock...

Everyone froze.

Ali quickly turned toward the front door.

It was Baba Sikandar Shah.

Dr. Sami had come with him.

Ahmed, Nadia, Maryam, and Shazia were there as well.

Ali looked surprised.

“Everyone is here?”

Ahmed spoke softly.

“No one should be alone tonight.”

Baba Sikandar Shah stepped inside.

The moment he entered...

The atmosphere of the house seemed to change.

He looked directly at Hamza.

Then asked calmly,

“Son...”

“How long have you been seeing Ayan?”

Hamza answered innocently,

“Since we moved here.”

Baba nodded.

“And did he ever tell you about his home?”

Hamza thought for a few seconds.

Then replied,

“He says...”

“This used to be his home too.”

Dr. Sami immediately stepped forward.

“You told us there were two children here.”

“Who was the second child?”

Baba slowly looked at the old walls around them.

“The answer...”

“Is buried inside this house.”

Everyone followed him to the back of the house.

Near an abandoned storage room.

Baba placed his hand against a cracked wall.

Closed his eyes.

And after a moment said,

“This place was never just a house.”

“A family once lived here.”

“And they had two children.”

Ali frowned.

“But all the records mention only one child.”

Baba nodded.

“Because the second child...”

“Was never recorded.”

“Why?” Dr. Sami asked.

Baba’s voice grew quieter.

“Because that child...”

“Was not their own.”

The room fell silent.

Sarah looked confused.

“What do you mean?”

Baba took a deep breath.

“Twelve years ago...”

“The family took in an orphan boy.”

“They gave him a home.”

“His name was...”

He paused.

Then continued.

“Ayan.”

Hamza instantly looked up.

“I told you!”

“He’s my friend.”

A worried expression appeared on Ali’s face.

For the first time...

He realized Hamza’s stories might not be simple childhood imagination.

Baba continued.

“But Ayan’s death was never the real problem.”

“The real problem was...”

“That something else came into this house with him.”

Dr. Sami asked,

“What was it?”

Baba slowly turned toward the old Sheesham tree outside.

“Something...”

“That feeds on the fears of children.”

At that exact moment...

A sound came from the backyard.

Creeeeak...

Everyone turned at once.

The swing was moving.

Slowly.

Back and forth.

Even though there was no wind at all.

Maryam immediately grabbed her mother’s hand.

“Mom...”

“It’s back.”

Nadia’s voice trembled.

“Who?”

Maryam stared at the swing.

Her eyes filled with fear.

“Not the boy...”

“The other one.”

Then something unexpected happened.

Hamza slowly started walking toward the door.

“Ayan...”

“You came back?”

Ali rushed forward and grabbed him.

“Hamza!”

“Don’t go there!”

For the first time, Hamza looked directly into his father’s eyes.

Then whispered,

“Dad...”

“Ayan is scared.”

“He didn’t come to take me.”

“He came to ask for help.”

The color drained from Baba Sikandar Shah’s face.

He immediately stepped forward.

“Everyone stay back.”

“The truth is about to reveal itself.”

And at that very moment...

Beneath the dead Sheesham tree...

A small shadow began to appear.

Slowly.

Gradually.

But it wasn’t Ayan.

It was something much taller.

Something dark.

Something terrifying.

A figure that seemed made entirely of shadows.

And for the first time...

Everyone could see it.
