حضرت علی علیہ السلام اپنے فرزند امام حسن علیہ السلام سے فرماتے ہیں:
کسی انسان کو اس کے رزق کے حصول پر ملامت نہ کرو کیونکہ جو رزق سے محروم ہو جاتا ہے اس کے گناہ زیادہ ہونے لگتے ہیں۔
فقیر حقیر ہوتا ہے، اس کی بات کو کوئی نہیں سنتا، اس کے مقام و مرتبے کو کوئی نہیں پہچانتا ۔ اگر فقیر اپنی باتوں میں سچا بھی ہو تب بھی لوگ اسے جھوٹا جانتے ہیں، اگر وہ زاہد ہو تو لوگ اسے جاہل کہتے ہیں۔
جو فقر میں مبتلا ہو جاتا ہے وہ چار قسم کی مصیبتوں میں گرفتار ہو جاتا ہے:
1۔ اس کی یقین میں کمزوری آ جاتی ہے
