Playfullness and mysticism of nature plays a great role here, and it is both shown in the design and content of the perfumes.

Artisanal perfumery in the UK is blooming and joining us at Polaris is a special brand, Kushbu Perfumery.

Gurpal, the founder & perfumer really puts emphasis in blending cultures back into his perfumes, in this case his cross-cultural background from East-African, North Indian and British influences.

Artisanal perfumery from UK keeps on delivering.

This brand, Kushbu, finds genuine inspiration from cross-cultural background, blending East African, North Indian, and British influences. And to the perfume ear, this sounds like a wonderful concoction.

Gurpal Singh Sahota, the founder and perfumer, is down to earth, and the same resonance can be found in his perfumes.
I can't reveal yet which one's our favourite but lets welcome Gurpal and his team to Stockholm this winter:)

What does Iceland smell like?

This winter at Polaris Olfactive Week, Fischersund co-founder Lilja Birgisdottir will guide 25 guests through The Smell of Iceland — a sensory journey through places, memories and landscapes connected to Iceland.

Through scent, poetry, art and music, the workshop moves from Reykjavík’s old harbour, where Jónsi worked alongside his father, to childhood memories from Mosfellsveit and the top of an Icelandic glacier.

Along the way, guests will also experience rare Icelandic essential oils and other scented interpretations of the country.

This article is dedicated to Ava, and her love for rain.

She passed away in 2020 during a long struggle with a brain tumour.

The conceptual perfume "Deluge" is a tribute to her, by her father Daniel Liatowitsch, and their common love for rain. The perfumer is Andreas Wilhelm, who helped construct this dream, into olfaction.
