This is the other bigger bag size with the same Japanese cranes fabric. The frame is the “M” shape. However, the lining is different from the previous one and it has 2 pockets! 😄 Dimensions of the bag is 30x19x7cm

This is one of my favourite fabrics - Japanese cranes. This purse measures 24x8x20 (lxbxh) in cm. The height isn’t inclusive of the frame. I have another design using the same fabric which I will share in my next post 😉 So stay tuned.

Yes, this is the Hokkaido snow fairy - shima-enaga. It really looks like a ball of snow when perching on a branch covered with snow. The blue background fabric matches the closure k***s of the frame, and the lining is grey with white polka dots.

This is the bag that Adeline & Alva commissioned me to make for her. This is totally a different bag shape and is more challenging to sew the pieces together. Plus, the body and lining fabrics are both black, it makes the difficulty level up a little. She mentioned that she loved pockets, so I made her 2 different styles of pockets inside 🥰

I’m so glad that she likes her bag ☺️

The print on the bag, I believe, is Anne of Green Gables. The inside is lined with red cotton with white polka dots and furnished with singular pocket. The bag is completed with a burgundy red underarm strap.

The challenging part of making a kiss lock bag is that you need to know how to draw the pattern for it 😌 Each frame pattern requires its own measurements, it isn’t the one drawing fits all thingy. I made this cute little purse using the 4-piece bag pattern. From drafting the different pattern pieces to sewing them together, every step requires extra care, hence, the reason for paying a higher price for a kiss lock purse! This is just another trial piece 😉

Oh yes…I’m starting to make bags! ☺️ I’ve made bags many years ago and, in fact, I sold many bags back then as an extra income for the family.

Recently, a church friend asked if I could make a kiss lock bag to sell her; that was how I started to make bags again 😄 As I haven’t been making bags for so long, I made a trial bag for myself and hence, it’s a simple one. This doesn’t have any inside pocket. But, for my subsequent bags, they will have an inside pocket as most people like to have one in their bags.

Oh, did I say I love my new bag? I really love it a lot 🥰

Made another beaded purse, this time, a “Bursting” blue one. I used 10-mm beads for this bag, and a shorter body.
