One of the biggest mistakes we see before a bridal henna appointment? Not removing fine hair on the hands and arms.

Henna needs to make direct contact with your skin to create a rich, dark, long-lasting stain. When hair is present, the paste sits on the hair instead of the skin, which can result in:
🤎 Uneven staining
🤎 Lighter colour
🤎 Patchy designs

A little preparation goes a long way!

✔️ Shave, wax, or use your preferred hair removal method 24–48 hours before your appointment. This gives your skin time to settle while ensuring the henna adheres beautifully.

Let’s bust a common myth:
🪒 Shaving does NOT make your hair grow back thicker or darker. That’s a long-standing myth. Hair may feel coarser as it grows because the shaved end is blunt, but shaving does not change the thickness, colour, or growth rate of your hair.

What a wonderful Floral Henna class we had this weekend! 🌸

Every workshop reminds me why I love teaching henna so much. This session was filled with a fun, enthusiastic bunch of students who came ready to learn, ask questions, and most importantly, enjoy the creative process.

From learning how to hold and control the cone to creating their own floral motifs and compositions, it was amazing to see everyone’s confidence grow throughout the session. Some arrived saying they couldn’t draw, yet by the end of the class they were proudly creating beautiful floral designs of their own.

Beyond the henna itself, I always enjoy hearing everyone’s stories, sharing the heritage behind this beautiful art form, and watching new friendships form around the table.

A big thank you to all who joined us and made the class such a memorable one. Your energy, laughter, and creativity made the afternoon extra special. 💚
