I Took a Biological Age Test. Can We Afford to Live Longer? - The Wellness Insider 27/08/2026

Would you take a biological age test?

I recently did—and was surprised to learn that my biological age is six years younger than my actual age.

At first, I thought that was the end of the story.

It wasn't.

While my overall biological age looked encouraging, the test also highlighted that my inflammatory system was ageing faster than the rest of my body, something that tied in with my endometriosis and chronic pain.

More importantly, it made me ask a much bigger question:

Is the hardest part of healthy ageing really knowing what to do... or finding the time and energy to actually do it?

In this article, I share:
🧬 My experience with the AgeQ biological age test
💬 What surprised me during the doctor's review
🤔 Whether these tests are actually worth doing
💡 Why personalised health is becoming more common
❤️ And why I think the real challenge isn't getting more information—it's acting on it.

These Family Policies Will Help Parents. But Will They Persuade More Couples to Have Children? - The Wellness Insider 26/08/2026

Singapore’s new family policies offer more childcare leave, lower preschool fees, financial support and better access to BTO flats.

These measures could ease the pressure on existing parents and couples who already want children.

But can they persuade people who do not feel that parenthood fits the life they want?

For some childless couples, money is not the main concern. They may value freedom, worry about their mental health, feel deeply committed to their work or simply have no desire to become parents.

Read our latest op-ed on why good family policy may support parents without necessarily changing people’s minds about having children:

These Family Policies Will Help Parents. But Will They Persuade More Couples to Have Children? - The Wellness Insider Singapore’s NDR 2026 family policies may ease the burden on parents—but will they persuade more couples to have children?
