Heat wave tallow tip: Tallow balm behaves like butter. Colder = more solid, warmer = thinner. Keep your balm in a dark, cool environment. If it gets melty, you can even put it in the fridge to let it solidify (it will get really solid, but that’s fine).

We’re going to be adding arrowroot powder to it during these summer months to give our balms a little more temperature resistance

Baby boy was born 6/12, and we’re now back in business! Since it’s mostly Blake working on the tallow right now, we’re focused on restocking all the shops, plus we’re temporarily opening up availability for porch pickup.

We started using our Baby Balm on our own baby before we even left the hospital! He had a little scratch on his face that healed so quickly with the help of the balm. In the works right now is a full baby line, including a kit option for mother and baby.

(Pictured) This is your tallow in the middle step of its purification process. In the fridge it goes, and the tallow separates from the water, creating a “cake”. The impurities sink to the bottom of the cakes, are scraped off and pitched, and the rest of the cake is melted down again!
