We had the opportunity to attend the ribbon cutting for the new street banners in the historic Ten Broeck Triangle. During the event, Henry Bellagnome, Inc. announced a $10,000 contribution to the Central Ave. BID and TumbleWeed Social to reactivate Townsend Park! 🌳

The park sits right at the entrance of Central Avenue, marking the beginning of the International Corridor. This funding will allow us to start hosting smaller gatherings like First Fridays and Holiday Markets, building momentum toward a major event in September 2027. 🗓️✨

We are incredibly excited to bring this vision to life alongside partners who bring invaluable expertise and a deep commitment to the community. 🙌

I think we can all agree that a downtown is the heart of a city. And although cities, BIDs, and businesses themselves spearhead the efforts to make it thrive, we still see progress move slower than we want it to.

Sometimes, the reason is much closer than we think.

After 7 years of working in the field, I’ve realized that the missing piece of the puzzle is the everyday habits of the people who live within a district and its surrounding areas.

We have so much more power over the success of our community than we realize, but casual negativity, skipping local events, or spending our money at distant big-box chains quietly slows down the exact progress we are waiting for.
