You're not invisible. You're inconsistent.

Most professionals don't have a visibility problem.

They have a consistency problem.
They show up brilliantly when it matters most.
Then disappear.
They invest in their image for the keynote.
Then neglect it in everyday interactions.
They update their website.
But forget that their presence is part of their personal brand, too.

Visibility isn't built in isolated moments.
It's built through repetition.
Through consistency.
Through becoming recognizable - not just for what you do, but for how you show up.

People trust what they experience repeatedly.
And opportunity often follows familiarity.

Because image is communication.
And people can't value what they don't see.
Visibility creates opportunity.
Not once.
Over time.

Where do you feel most consistent - and where do you tend to disappear?

Nobody told me I was supposed to take up less space.

Growing up tall in a world that wanted girls to shrink, I learned early that the expectation to make yourself smaller is not neutral. It has a cost.

I see it in the business owners and executives I work with every day - brilliant women who have dialed themselves down because the alternative felt risky. That cost shows up in every overlooked opportunity, every room they weren't invited into.

Taking up space is not arrogance. It is visibility. You were built to be seen, and you've earned every inch of the room you're in.

Have you ever realized you were making yourself smaller to fit a room?

You got the speaking invitation. Now what?

This is the moment most of us underestimate. What happens before you say a single word matters more than you think - that window closes quickly, and what people see shapes how they hear what follows.

A speaker who walks on stage with presence is received differently than one who hasn't prepared that moment with the same care as their material. Same message. Different impact.

The stage is a visibility amplifier. Make sure it amplifies the right message.

What qualities make a speaker instantly credible in your eyes?

Your network event is a stage. Are you showing up like you're in the audience?

The people who stand out at events aren't necessarily the most credentialed or extroverted. They're the most present.

It starts before you say hello — how you carry yourself, how you position yourself in conversation, how deeply you listen.

Networking presence is a skill. And it compounds — every room you enter with intention builds a reputation that opens doors long after the event ends.

What's one networking habit — yours or someone else's — that always leaves an impression?

The room decided before you spoke. Here's what it decided - and why.

People will tell you not to judge a book by its cover, then go right back to doing exactly that. Not because they're hypocrites - because perception is a biological instinct.

By the time you've introduced yourself, people have already formed an impression, and they're looking for information to confirm it, not revise it.

Every element of your presence is data. You decide what data you're releasing.

What's a first impression - good or bad - that has stayed with you over the years?

I was 16 when I walked into a Merle Norman studio and everything shifted.

It wasn't about makeup. It was the first time someone showed me that the way you present yourself is a language - one you could speak intentionally.

That moment planted a seed that has grown into decades of work with women who are accomplished and often invisible to the rooms they're trying to reach.

Not because they lack anything. Because no one ever taught them that image is a strategy.

Was there a moment - a person, a place - that first showed you the power of presentation?

Confidence and presence are not the same thing. Mixing them up is costing you.

Confidence is internal - it's what you feel. Presence is external - it's what others experience when you're in the room.

You can feel confident and still not command a room. Presence is a skill: posture, pacing, eye contact, the intentionality of how you occupy space.

Confidence is something you feel. Presence is something you build - and it's available to you even on the hard days.

Have you ever walked into a room feeling shaky inside but holding it together outside? How did you do it?

There’s something special about being part of a moment that brings people together.

A few weeks ago, my family and I had the chance to watch the England vs. DR Congo World Cup match, and it was a reminder that some experiences go far beyond the final score.

You could feel the anticipation, the energy, the pride, and the connection among thousands of people who had come together for the same event.

As someone who spends every day talking about presence, I couldn't help but notice something else:
The teams that leave the greatest impression aren't just talented. They show up with confidence, clarity, and intention.

Whether it's on the pitch, in a boardroom, or on a stage, how you show up always matters.

Wishing both Argentina and Spain an incredible match today. May the best team win 🏆
