I’m Dasia. I am a mother of two boys , Army Veteran 🇺🇸 and lover of healthy hair.⠀⠀

I started Unorthodox Roots while serving Active Duty as a Combat Medic ⛑ in the Army. I served for 9 years and understand the struggles of being a military natural. ⠀⠀

Creating satin lined accessories has helped alleviate the damage caused by years of tension hairstyles like bunning my natural hair and wearing a hat everyday as well as helped to grow my hair longer and stronger than before. ⠀⠀
