Hi everyone! 👋🏻
I’m Karen, the face behind Reign Salon. I wanted to update everyone on what’s new, what’s different, and introduce myself to anyone I may not know.

I did not start out in the hair business. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in art with a minor in business. (I had every intention of painting on a beach somewhere in Miami for the rest of my life while going to the gym and competing in fitness competitions 🤣) I have been a Master Cosmetologist for almost 9 years now. I got my start at a salon in the downtown Augusta area and I was able to pick up some invaluable tools to help my career there, but realized that I needed my own space in order to reach my full potential. In 2020, I started Reign Salon inside of a suite, located inside of Sola Salons.

My personal life has been a bit of a roller coaster the past several years 🎢 My husband and I met at the gym while I was still personal training. We had our son in 2017 and after 6 years, my husband and I decided to try for another baby. With minimal effort, we wound up with not one, but two babies by the end of last year 😅 We have been greatly blessed by our new additions. 💜💜

During maternity leave, I tried to stay busy (🤣 not like I had to try hard) and gained more skill sets to now offer to my clients. I wanted to share with you that I now offer 4 different types of extension methods 🙌🏻 I am certified through Dreamcatchers and can now start taking clients that want any of the following extension types: I-tip, K-tip, Weft, and/or Tape-in. Blonde and red at its best 😉 This coppery red was made using I find that mixing five or six different reds together with a little ash for depth helps create richer tones. For the blonde, I used and toned with 10AV

Monday Motivation 🙌🏻

This beautiful head of hair barely fits in the picture 🤩 I use for grey coverage and every 4-6 months I move up the balayage on the bottom using (I use a football section to keep a dark halo on top) Once processed, I glaze with using a combination of neutrals and reds.

Icy 🥶 My client is a level 5. We do a full foil every 6 weeks to keep her bright blonde and it’s beautiful 😍 I use + 10vol working up to 20vol. I process 45 minutes and then tone using 9PV + 10B gloss.
