Behind closed doors (and sometimes wide open doors 😅) are A LOT of women in the wedding industry who work tirelessly WHILE growing their families.
I get asked this question equally from new business owners and seasoned professionals who want to start their family, but are afraid that their business might suffer. That question is:
“How can I time our family plan to align with my business goals.”
The answer is two fold - you can’t, and you SHOULDN’T. There is a ton of pressure in the wedding industry to perform, perform, perform - to keep putting out incredible events for social media.
But at the end of the day - we are in the people business. People who come from families, and want to celebrate in a big way that two families are joining together. So what a more beautiful thing than for us to do the same - create families.
So if you are a hoping to start your family, but are nervous about timing and what it could mean for your business - hear this loud and clear: your future family is MORE important than the future of your business.
I may be a planner, but you CAN’T plan your future family - and let that be something that is freeing and not binding. Truly, everything happens for a reason. And don’t delay joy out of fear. ❤️

How has a year flown by since Caroline & Ryan’s classic summer wedding in Highlands, NC? July 20th feels so long ago, and yet - just like yesterday.
