Today is one of those days…

The truth is, people see the smiles, the business, the classes, and the videos, and sometimes think I have it all together.

I don’t.

Every single day, it is the grace of God that keeps me going. 🙏🏾

There are days I work so hard and don’t see the results I hoped for. Days I feel overwhelmed. Days I cry. But one thing I have learned is that my responsibility is to keep showing up and leave the results to my faithful Father.

I may not be where I want to be yet, but I am incredibly grateful for how far God has brought me and where He is taking me. ❤️

So today, I choose gratitude.
I choose faith.
I choose to keep showing up, even when I don’t feel like it, because I know the One who called me has never failed me.

If you’re reading this and you’re carrying something heavy, please know that you are not alone. God sees you, He hears your prayers, and He hasn’t forgotten you.

Earlier today, I shared how I accidentally booked clients on July 4th without realizing it. Even though our family has always protected holidays for family time, I couldn’t bring myself to cancel or reschedule.

So we showed up, served our beautiful clients, and finally wrapped up around 8PM. Was it later than planned?

Absolutely! 🤣 But I’m grateful we were able to honor our commitment.

Now it’s time to make it up to my babies because we’re celebrating our own July 4th tomorrow! 🇺🇸❤️ Family time is still happening… just one day later. 🥰

I always keep holidays reserved for family. In fact, I don’t normally book clients on holidays because family time is so important to me.

Well…without either of us realizing it, my daughter booked a beautiful new client and her baby for today! 😅

When I found out, I just couldn’t bring myself to cancel or reschedule. They had trusted us with their appointment, so this morning we showed up to honor our commitment.

Being a business owner sometimes means making unexpected sacrifices, but we’ll definitely be celebrating with the family afterward. 🥰

Excited we made it to one of our princess’s doctor’s appointments today! 🥰

I intentionally planned my schedule around this appointment, even though I didn’t get to bed until about 4:30 a.m. 😅

I was up working on something really special that I can’t wait to share with you all soon!
Of course, baby girl still made sure I didn’t sleep in…she found a way to wake me up before 10 a.m. anyway. 🤣

From processing orders, responding to students for our Dallas Braiding Class (July 11), planning for our San Diego Braiding Classes (July 24–25), and everything in between, I’m just grateful for God’s grace to keep showing up for my family, my clients, my students, and the vision He’s entrusted to me.
Some days are busy. Some days are exhausting. But they’re also incredibly rewarding.

There are moments when everyone else is asleep, but you’re still learning, researching, creating, and trusting God with the vision He’s placed in your heart.

Everything I’ve invested in—from becoming a licensed cosmetologist to studying natural hair care—isn’t just about adding another service.

I’m not just building products… I’m building solutions.

Solutions that will help me better care for the women who trust me with their crowns, while staying committed to healthy hair, quality, and excellence.

I’m still in the testing phase, so I’m taking my time and doing it the right way. I truly believe the best things are worth building with patience.

As we step into this new month and the rest of the year, I want to encourage us to fix our eyes on the Lord. He alone is constant, faithful, and will never lead us astray. Choosing to keep our focus on Him is our way of saying, “Lord, I trust You no matter what.” 🙏🏾❤️

When we surrender our spiritual lives, goals, dreams, visions, families, careers, businesses, academics, and every other area of our lives to Him, we can rest knowing that He is ordering our steps—even in the smallest details.

Even when the journey gets tough and we feel weary, tired, or exhausted, we can keep moving forward because our confidence is in the One who holds our future in His hands.

Let’s position our hearts to receive everything God has prepared for us this month and throughout the rest of the year. I believe our best days are still ahead! 🙌🏾

After a busy week of serving my family, clients, and students, I realized I needed something deeper than physical rest.

So today, I’m heading to my Father’s house to recharge. ❤️🙏🏾

There is a peace, strength, and renewal that only God’s presence can give. If you’ve been feeling tired, overwhelmed, or stretched thin, this is your reminder that you don’t have to carry it all alone.

Take a moment to be in His presence. He knows exactly what you need.
