Sometimes, things just don’t go as planned.

This morning, I baked a cinnamon roll pumpkin cake in a 9x5 pan. Everything was going great until I pulled it out of the oven, grabbed the parchment paper, and… IT RIPPED. 😭 The entire cake landed right on the oven door. There went my beautiful cake!

I wanted to cry because I didn’t have time to bake another one. But after taking a deep breath, I put on my thinking cap and turned that disaster into something new!

I crumbled it into my scone containers, added frosting on top, and finished it with a sprinkle of pumpkin spice. And just like that… my cake disaster became a delicious little creation!

Sometimes, baking doesn’t go as planned, but a little creativity can turn a kitchen disaster into something beautiful. And let’s be honest… cake is cake, even when it takes the scenic route!
