I was scrolling through my camera roll and found this video from January 2025.
This wasn’t a milestone.
Nobody was celebrating me.
Nobody knew where Me Time Coffee was headed.
It was simply a decision.
I had just landed in New Orleans for a work trip, attended my first BCMC Cohort class was six hours later, and this assignment was due a few days after that.
No ring light.
No fancy setup.
Just my phone.
Looking back, I realized something.
People see the impact, but they rarely see the decisions that created it.
The opportunities.
The partnerships.
The growth.
They all started with moments like this.
I’ve always been one to take action but I also was an extreme over planner and over thinker. I realized that taking action has never failed me and taking longer to execute just meant taking longer to see the results and I wasn’t about that life for Me Time Coffee.
Because the mission has always been bigger than the moment.
I didn’t start Me Time Coffee just to sell coffee.
I started it because I wanted every woman who’s been told to “slow down” or “practice self-care” to finally have a realistic way to do it every single day.
Impact isn’t built in one big moment.
It’s built every time you decide to show up before the results.
Looking back at this video reminds me that every opportunity I’ve had started with one simple decision:
Show up anyway.
