One of the questions I get asked more than any other is, "How did you get started?"

Well... the answer starts long before Trinity Herbal Apothecary ever existed.

It starts with this photo.

This is my dad carrying me in one of the many adventures we took together. He used to take me everywhere in that backpack—fishing, mushroom hunting, wandering the woods, and anywhere else nature could be explored. He probably had no idea he was helping shape the curiosity that would one day become Trinity Herbal Apothecary.

I finally sat down and wrote the story behind my business. It's about growing up surrounded by nature, asking way too many questions, making some truly awful first skincare products, unexpectedly ending up with goats, and how all of that led to the little apothecary I get to call my own today.

Most people see the finished festival—the beautiful booths, smiling faces, and handmade products. What they don't always see are the months of planning, late nights, long drives, early mornings, and countless hours that every vendor, artist, organizer, volunteer, and staff member pours into making an event possible.

Yesterday's storms in Michigan were a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly all of that hard work can be turned upside down.

Here at Trinity Herbal Apothecary, we know the reality of being a small business. Every event matters. Every product represents hours of work. Every canceled weekend or damaged booth is more than just an inconvenience—it's a real loss.

Today, we're simply thinking of everyone affected by the storms. To the vendors, artists, organizers, volunteers, and everyone working behind the scenes, we're sending you strength, encouragement, and all the positive vibes. We hope you're able to salvage what you can, rebuild quickly, and know that so many of us in the handmade community are rooting for you.
