Magnesium Cream has quietly become one of my best sellers, and today I’m packing up another order headed to its new home.

Maybe it’s time I started showing this one a little more. 🌿

Each bar is sealed and shrink wrapped by hand after curing. It’s one of those little behind-the-scenes steps that takes a bar from the curing rack to a finished Blue Note Botanicals soap.

Every bar gets finished by hand, right down to the packaging. Here I’m sealing each bar before heat shrinking the wrap for a clean, protected finish.

It’s one of those little steps you don’t always see, but it’s all part of the work. 🌿

Beveling!!

Why the curls? 🖤

After I cut my Activated Charcoal soap, I hand-bevel each bar, shaving away the sharp edges for a smoother, cleaner finish.

Is it necessary? Technically, no. The soap works just fine without it. But I love the way a freshly beveled bar looks and feels in your hand.

That’s one of my favorite things about making soap in small batches. Each bar gets cut, handled, beveled, and inspected before it ever gets labeled and makes its way to you.

And yes… those little charcoal curls are extremely satisfying. 😂🖤

Why activated charcoal? 🖤

Sure, it gives this soap that gorgeous dark color, but here’s the cool part: charcoal can adsorb oil + everyday grime, yes, *aDsorb* not aBsorb, meaning it grabs onto them so they rinse away with the lather. 👀
