Gambit Equine Bodywork

Even Bodyworker’s horses have tension!

When it comes to my own horses, I never do a written report. When my 2 were due I thought it would be a good way to show everyone that even my own horses have tension.

It can be very easy as an owner to feel guilty or frustrated when a bodyworker finds tension or stress points on your horse. No matter the age or workload, a horse will have some tension. It’s normal!!

Finding a tight muscle doesn't mean you've failed as an owner, it just means your horse is giving you information!

Below are the reports for both of my horses. Feel free to compare to your own reports or even if you have a question, drop them below!

Drop them below or send a DM so I can feature you!

The importance of warming up….

See the examples of an older horse’s front legs before and after a massage session. Notice how the degree from the lower and upper leg decreases after warm up.

Tissues in the body are like a rubber band. If the rubber band is cold and you pull it, it’ll snap! If the band is warm, it’s more flexible. If the rubber band is too hot, it’ll also snap.

Warm up to prevent injury! Warm up to promote flexibility!

I am very excited to be presenting to the MHTA group on 9/17.
