Light as Medicine ✨

What you’re seeing is intravenous laser therapy with our Weber laser. A thin fiber-optic line delivers specific wavelengths of light directly into the bloodstream, so light reaches your blood cells as they circulate through your body.
On its own, laser light may help support cellular energy production by stimulating the mitochondria, the “power plants” of your cells. Many patients use it as part of a plan for energy, circulation, and recovery.

The light becomes even more targeted when paired with a photosensitizer. Photosensitizers are compounds, such as curcumin or methylene blue, that absorb specific colors of light. First, the photosensitizer is infused and circulates through the blood. Each photosensitizer absorbs best at particular colors of lights, so the laser wavelength is matched to the compound. Once activated, it produces reactive oxygen, a response that’s being studied for its ability to target unwanted microbes and stressed or abnormal cells while supporting the body’s natural defenses. This light-activated reaction is the basic principle behind photodynamic therapy, which we are proud to offer at Eden Healing Oasis.
