“MY MIND - MY POETRY”

I was never good at journaling my emotions.

Dear Diary felt like a prompt -
just not meant for me.

It was the daily - after - thought
I struggled to find.

See, I was a full glass -
prepared to pour onto this empty page,
but once I tipped to release,
there’s no words,
no thoughts,
no feelings.

Just moments of remembering what ‘was’ on said ‘day’.

Suppose I was subconsciously pushing this thought into the furthest part of my brain,
for many reasons, actually.

A dissociated - distorted fragment of a thought.

The moment is gone.

The feeling has done its irreversible damage -
in my psyche and in my heart.

I can’t call this reflection and recollection a journal entry.

So f**k it, we’ll call it poetry.
