Most people cleanse, moisturize, and call it done ā but that in-between step matters more than you think. šæ
Freshly cleansed skin is ready for what comes next, and a well-formulated facial mist can help rehydrate, refresh, and prep the skin before serum or moisturizer.
Thatās why I created Oasis Bliss⢠Hydrating Facial Mist ā a small-batch botanical mist made with organic lavender hydrosol, rose hydrosol, vegetable glycerin, and a carefully chosen blend of lavender, bergamot FCF, frankincense, geranium, and ylang ylang.
Use it:
⢠right after cleansing
⢠before your serum or moisturizer
⢠midday when your skin feels tight or dry
⢠even over makeup for a quick reset
As a Chinese medicine practitioner with a military medical background, Iām always looking at skincare as part of a bigger picture: support the skin, donāt overwhelm it.
No synthetic fragrance. No alcohol. No unnecessary fillers. Just real botanicals and a formula designed to feel good on the skin.

And if youāre local, come find me at Sunday Funday Market in Salem ā August 9th ā in the Coastal Farm parking lot.
Your skin may not need more products. It may just need the step youāve been skipping. š

Whatās really hiding behind the word āFragranceā?
One of the biggest surprises for many people is that āFragranceā (or āParfumā) on a skincare label isnāt actually one ingredient. Itās a legal term that can represent a proprietary blend of multiple fragrance chemicals that manufacturers generally arenāt required to disclose individually.
Thatās why I donāt use synthetic fragrance in my formulations.
As a Masterās-trained Chinese Medicine practitioner, trained herbalist, former military medic, and holistic nutritionist, Iāve chosen a different standardāone based on transparency. When I scent a product, I use named botanical ingredients like essential oils and hydrosols that you can actually identify, research, and understand.
šæ Sandalwood
šæ Neroli
šæ Geranium
šæ Vanilla
ā¦and many more.
This isnāt about creating fear around every ingredient or claiming every synthetic ingredient is unsafe. Itās about helping you understand whatās on the label, what isnāt, and why ingredient transparency matters.
The more you understand your skincare, the more confident you can be in the choices you make.

Is your skincare really ānaturalā⦠or does the label just say it is? šæ
The words āclean,ā ānatural,ā and ānon-toxicā have become some of the biggest marketing buzzwords in the beauty industryābut many people donāt realize they arenāt legally defined by the FDA.
In this reel, I break down:
āļø What the FDA actually regulates.
āļø Why many popular ācleanā ingredients are still synthesized in a laboratory.
āļø The botanical alternatives I choose instead.
āļø Why I hold my formulas to a higher standard than the law requires.
As a Masterās-trained Chinese Medicine practitioner, trained herbalist, former military medic, and holistic nutritionist, I formulate every Nomadic Healer product with one question in mind:
Can I explain exactly what this ingredient is, where it comes from, and why itās here?
For me, that means choosing real botanicals whenever possibleānot because I have to, but because itās the standard Iāve chosen for my brand.
This isnāt about fear. Itās about transparency, education, and helping you understand whatās actually in the products you put on your skin.

Think the words āclean,ā ānatural,ā and ānon-toxicā are regulated? Think again. šæ
Most people are surprised to learn that these are marketing termsānot FDA-defined standards.
As someone with a Masterās in Chinese Medicine, formal herbal training, and years of military medical experience, I donāt formulate based on marketing buzzwords. I formulate based on the plants themselves, their chemistry, and why each ingredient belongs in a product.
Thatās why every ingredient in my skincare is intentionally chosen, and why I can explain exactly what each one is, where it comes from, and why itās there.
This reel isnāt about criticizing other brandsāitās about helping you become a more informed consumer.

šæ Not all powerful skincare ingredients come from a laboratory. Some have been growing in nature for centuries.
One of my favorite botanicals is bakuchiolāa remarkable plant-derived ingredient extracted from the seeds of the babchi plant (Psoralea corylifolia), which has been used for generations in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese herbal practices.
As someone trained in Classical Chinese Medicine, I donāt formulate products based on marketing trends. I look for botanicals with a long history of traditional use and research that supports their role in healthy skin.
⨠Why bakuchiol?
āļø Helps improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
āļø Supports the skinās natural collagen production.
āļø Promotes a smoother, more even-looking complexion.
āļø Helps improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture.
āļø Provides antioxidant support to help defend against environmental stressors.
āļø Gentle enough for many people who find traditional retinoids irritating.
Unlike many retinol products, bakuchiol is plant-derived and is generally well tolerated by sensitive skin while still supporting a firmer, healthier-looking complexion.
Thatās one of the reasons I chose it for Moonlit Oasis Night Repair Serum. It works alongside a carefully selected blend of nutrient-rich botanical oils to nourish, replenish, and support your skin while you sleep.
This is Day 2 of my Moonlit Oasis ingredient spotlight series, and over the coming days Iāll introduce you to more of the exceptional botanicals that make this serum so special. Every ingredient was chosen with intentionābecause nature has been developing extraordinary solutions long before synthetic skincare existed.
