With the year coming to an end, so does the first year of business of Salon Bonvi! And what a first year it has been! I have been so blessed by longtime loyal clients and new clients. I am so grateful you have trusted me with your hair. Without y’all Salon Bonvi could not exist! I have worked hard to create a space where my clients can feel relaxed, appreciated, heard, prioritized, and beautiful. And I hope you feel that every time you sit in my chair!

Over the last year, I have learned so much about not only owning a business, but about myself as a stylist. I’ve learned my worth. For 10 years of my career I’ve had the unfortunate privilege to work for salons that under appreciated their employees, took advantage of their employees kindness, dimmed my light, didn’t believe in my talent, underpaid me, verbally abused me, embarrassed me and ultimately held me back in my career. And I let it tear me down for years, and believed maybe this isn’t my calling. Until I had enough. As awful as the first 10 years of my career were, I learned a lot of lessons about myself and how I want to run my business. So that’s when salon Bonvi was born! I chose to grow from my experiences instead of letting it tear me down any longer. No more letting those losers get the best of me. I want to create a space that I’m happy do go into every day and do what I love! And I believe I finally have that!

The 2 good things from those years are the stylist I worked beside and my clients! I have gotten so lucky to work with some amazing stylist that have taught me literally everything I know. I wouldn’t be where I am had y’all not taken me under your wings and helped lift me up! Not to mention I made some lifelong friends! And I have gotten so incredibly lucky with clients who feel more like friends! Which is exactly what I prayed for! Y’all cared for me as more than just your hairstylist, and I am so grateful!

So with that being said, I’m so incredibly happy to be turning the page to chapter 2 of Salon Bonvi and hopefully many more beautiful years!
