Meet Contestant Verina Tagiilima

Born in San Francisco, California, and proudly residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, Verina Tagiilima is a woman of faith, purpose, and service whose life is deeply rooted in the values of the Samoan culture.

Guided by her favorite scripture, Matthew 22:37–39—"Love the Lord your God with all your heart... and love your neighbor as yourself."—Verina strives to live each day with compassion, humility, and unwavering faith. As an active member of her church, she is committed to serving both her congregation and the community, believing that true leadership begins with serving others.

Family is the foundation of Verina's life. She treasures the traditions, respect, and sense of fa'aaloalo (respect) and tautua (service) that have been passed down through generations. Deeply connected to the Samoan community, she is passionate about preserving her culture, uplifting those around her, and strengthening the bonds that unite families and future generations.

Verina hopes to be a positive role model for young girls, encouraging them to dream boldly and believe that with faith, determination, and a strong foundation, anything is possible. Through the Miss Samoa Las Vegas Nevada Pageant, she is honored to celebrate her heritage while inspiring others to lead with grace, confidence, and a heart of service.

We are excited to introduce another incredible young woman joining this year’s Miss Samoa Las Vegas Nevada Pageant family.

Say hello to Jannise Raeann Taua’i! ❤️

Born on the beautiful island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, and now calling Las Vegas, Nevada home, Jannise recently celebrated a major milestone as a graduate of Canyon Springs High School. Since her junior year, she has worked as a lifeguard, where she has learned the importance of responsibility, quick thinking, and serving others with confidence and care.

One quote that inspires Jannise every day is:

“If I don’t love me, how can I ask you to?”

To her, those words are a reminder that confidence begins from within. Learning to love and believe in yourself creates the strength to face life’s challenges and the ability to build meaningful relationships with others.

Jannise is excited to step onto the Miss Samoa Las Vegas stage to celebrate her culture, challenge herself, and grow alongside an amazing group of young Samoan women. She hopes to inspire others to embrace who they are and never stop believing in their own potential.

THE JOURNEY TO THE CROWN BEGINS.... CONTESTANT SPOTLIGHT

It is with great excitement that we introduce our very first contestant for the Miss Samoa Las Vegas Nevada Pageant, Faith Davina Letele of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Faith is a proud member of the Army National Guard, where she serves with honor and dedication. Her commitment to serving others extends beyond her military service—she is also active in her church and strives to live a life centered on faith, humility, and purpose.

The words that inspire her are:

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

This quote reflects the way Faith approaches life, believing that the greatest accomplishments come through unity, supporting one another, and building strong relationships.

Faith is the cherished daughter of Vaifoa Taimi and Fagaalu Letele, and she proudly carries the values of family, culture, and service wherever she goes.

We are honored to have Faith join this year's sisterhood of contestants. As she begins her pageant journey, we invite our community to cheer her on and celebrate the remarkable young woman she is becoming.
