About 10 years ago, I rescued a little kitten that I named Smokey. He spent a little time with me before moving into to a guy called Peter J Cohen who runs a non-profit called Zen By Cat.

It turned out that Smokey had FIP, normally a disease no cat owner wants to hear.

Through Peter’s efforts and Smokey’s resilience, this remarkable cat became one of the first cats ever to be cured. A truly ground-breaking story.

News came to me today that Smokey has now scampered over the rainbow bridge, but he leaves behind a truly monumental legacy - his survival paved the way for modern FIP treatments.

What truly remarkable cat.

Rock on, Smokey. You were a star.

Lulu was only with me for a couple of days. Found running loose in Long Beach, her owners were quickly found.
But in that time, she left a big impression.

Lulu made it home.
What a sweet girl.
Lulu’s family said that if Tabitha and Lucky ever wanted to playdate, they are down.
The best ending anyone could have hoped for.

Good news!
It appears we’ve found Lulu’s owner!
Yes, this little lady is called Lulu.
All being well, she should be back with her family either tonight or tomorrow morning.
Here’s hoping it all works out.

So we have a house guest for a couple of days.
This sweet little girl - who I’ve nicknamed Willow- was found by a friend running down Anaheim in Long Beach. The friend that caught her cannot keep her until the weekend, so under Lucky’s watchful eye, Willow will hang out with Lucky, Tabitha and I until the owner can be found.
