Monday Night was UNFORGETTABLE. Reuniting with the amazing cast and crew of MELAO, was the highlight of my week. This film, based on a true story, showed life in Puerto Rico in the 1950s. Doing the makeup and sfx for this film, and being able to shoot for a week in my beautiful island, was such a fun and memorable experience, that I would happily do over and over again.

Thanks for for trusting me with her baby, and and for allowing me to take their characters to where they needed to be, even if this meant looking VERY disheveled, brown teeth and all, every single shot.
Such a TALENTED group of people, full Latino crew and cast!

The film showed with 6 other period films, and they all were just incredible. Learning history through film and storytelling, definitely a great way to learn.

When you get an assignment and you roll with it all the way! White statues for the National Association of Hispanic Journalism Convention. Loooved doing this job surrounded by talented friends.

Me in my favorite element...creating characters and teaching. Doing a monster Demo for The Lucas Museum at the Skirball Cultural Center on Friday was such a FUN experience. I chose the pieces but the audience helped me choose the colors and even were allowed on stage to play with the airbrush and help me paint (audience painted the chest area). We made it as interactive as possible and it was a full success. I only had 60 min, so I was not able to finish the neck and do something with the hair, but was able to show application, prep and painting of foam latex prosthetics and full face design in the given time. May I get to do this more often, cause I truly loved it.

What an unforgettable experience it was to work with such a caliber of talent. From the actors to every single crew member, it was a daily class of professionalism and skill. 18 day shoot, 12-15 hr days, exhausting to say the least, but so excited to see the final result. I was able to really show my range and push myself to a whole other level in this project. Thanks to all the people that kept me sane when things got tough...and boy did it get crazy. To new friendships built, and to more projects to come where our paths cross again. Lov'ya!
