There isn’t a set answer. Everyone’s hair doesn’t grow the same. For a retie (Microlocs), you see your growth easier. Waiting longer between services, doesn’t save you time/money. You end up in the stylist chair longer.

I have locs, do I need to get routine steam/hydration treatments?
Yes. Hair needs moisture. You want healthy, shiny hair, you need hydration. Not just from steam treatments, but also your water intake. You don’t need to use a shower cap when you shower. Let the steam do its job.

How often do I need a trim?
Generally, 8-10 weeks.

Why do I need so much hair cut off?
You haven’t kept up with your hair maintenance and trims. Need to remove the dead weight for new hair to grow. (No rights to music)
