CHOSEN Counseling & Coaching Services
CHOSEN is a transformational space for women in Middle Moments—seasons of disruption that reveal misalignment and invite alignment.
Through coaching and the 5A Framework, we guide women from survival into clarity, healing, and embodied identity.

BECAUSE HE SAID SO. 🤎
October 8, 2020.
A date that changed the direction of my life.
I remember reading the devotional “Because He Said So” through Girlfriends in God, anchored in Luke 5:4–5. It was a confirmation of what God had already spoken to my heart: it was time to leave my job and step into what would become CHOSEN.
I didn't have the full picture. I didn't know what the journey would require. I just knew I had heard Him.
And I said yes.
Today, what I find myself celebrating isn't simply what I've built. It's the woman I'm becoming in the process.
More anchored in my identity.
More aligned with my purpose.
More settled in what God has spoken.
More willing to let the process unfold without needing to control every outcome.
I'm learning that alignment doesn't always mean having everything figured out. Sometimes it means being at peace while the picture is still developing.
And to the woman who is waiting for clarity, waiting for confirmation, waiting to feel ready enough to take the next step…
You don't have to become someone else to walk into what God has for you.
You can breathe.
You can be present.
You can trust what you know.
You can take the next step without demanding that God show you the entire staircase.
There is a difference between striving to prove yourself and moving from a place of knowing who you are.
I'm learning to live from that place.
Six years ago, I said yes because He said so. Today, I'm still saying yes—but with a deeper understanding of who I am, what I'm called to steward, and the grace to let the journey unfold.
CHOSEN is still unfolding. And so am I.
Sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is stop striving to become and allow yourself to BE. 🤎
Happy Boss Day to Me

There is a particular kind of grief that comes with outgrowing a life you once prayed for.
Not because it was bad.
Not because it didn’t matter.
But because you are no longer the person who needed it in the same way.
You can be grateful for what you built and still know it’s time for something to change.
You can love who you were and still become someone new.
Maybe you’re not lost.
Maybe you’re becoming.
What are you grieving, releasing, or outgrowing in this season?
Let’s talk about it.
When life changes, the conversation changes.

Sometimes moving forward means admitting that what got me here can’t take me where I'm going.
We can become so familiar with a way of thinking, coping, leading, loving, or handling life that we keep using it long after it has stopped serving us.
Awareness asks us to pause and tell the truth:
What worked for me then—may not be what I need now.
And that realization doesn’t mean you failed.
It may simply mean you’re becoming aware of what this season requires of you.
Let's talk in the CHAT ..........What might this pattern be revealing?
When life changes, the conversation changes.

I’m Dr. Tasha—therapist, coach, founder and Clinical Director of CHOSEN Counseling & Coaching Services, PLLC.
I create and curate spaces for honest conversation for women navigating the places where leadership, life, identity, relationships, and purpose intersect.
I’m beginning a new conversation around something I call Middle Moments™—those seasons when life changes, we’re still functioning, but something just doesn’t feel quite the same.
Right now, I’m exploring a question that reaches far beyond one population:
What happens when life changes and we don’t quite know what comes next?
What do you tend to do first?
A. Try to fix it
B. Overthink it
C. Ask somebody what they think
D. Avoid it and keep moving
E. Pause and give myself space
No judgment—I’m genuinely curious. What’s your first instinct?

Sometimes nothing is necessarily wrong… but something just doesn’t feel the same.
You may be questioning what’s next, needing a pause, experiencing a change in your role, relationship, health, purpose—or simply feeling “off.”
That doesn’t always mean you’re in a crisis.
Sometimes you’re in a Middle Moment™.
A place of disruption.
A place of uncertainty.
A place that invites you to pause and ask a different question.
Have you ever been there?
When life changes, the conversation changes.
Some seasons ask us to become more intentional about the conversations we’re having—not just with others, but within ourselves.
There are moments when the old answers no longer seem to fit, the familiar ways of doing things no longer feel right, and the next step isn't immediately clear.
Maybe the goal isn't to rush through that space.
Maybe there's something worth noticing before we decide what to do next.
What if the questions we ask in uncertain seasons matter just as much as the answers we're looking for?
I’m opening that conversation.
