When Ray walked into Soterra, his shoulder was hurting badly. The kind of pain that changes how you move, what you can do, how you sleep, and how you feel throughout the day.
He came in looking for some relief.
By the time he left, his reaction said it all:
“I feel like a million bucks.”
Stories like Ray’s are exactly why we created Soterra.

That’s what we’re here for.
Come in, tell us what’s bothering you and what you want to improve, and we’ll help you understand the different services available at Soterra.

Creatine is one of the better-studied sports supplements. The strongest evidence is for strength, power, muscle gain, and repeated high-intensity exercise. It works largely by increasing phosphocreatine stores, which helps regenerate ATP rapidly during hard efforts. Office of Dietary Supplements
Main benefits include:
- More strength and power, especially for lifting, sprinting, jumping, and repeated hard efforts. Office of Dietary Supplements
- Better training capacity, meaning you may be able to perform more reps, sets, or high-quality work before fatigue. Office of Dietary Supplements
- Greater lean muscle gains over time when combined with resistance training. PubMed Central (PMC)
- Improved recovery between repeated intense efforts because phosphocreatine is replenished more effectively. PubMed Central (PMC)
- Muscle-cell hydration, which increases intracellular water and commonly produces a small increase in body weight early on.
- Potential benefit for maintaining muscle as people age, especially when paired with resistance exercise.
- Possible cognitive benefits. Research suggests creatine can increase brain creatine stores and may help certain aspects of memory, mental fatigue, or cognition, particularly when brain energy demand is high, although the evidence here is less established than the muscle-performance evidence. PubMed Central (PMC)
For most healthy adults, the simple approach is 3–5 grams of creatine monohydrate daily. You don't have to cycle it, and you don't need a loading phase. A loading phase of roughly 20 g/day divided into four doses for 5–7 days simply saturates the muscles faster. Creatine monohydrate remains the most extensively studied form, and more expensive versions are not superior. One misconception worth addressing: creatine is not a steroid and it isn't merely a bodybuilding supplement. Your body naturally produces creatine, and foods such as meat and fish contain it.
The most common noticeable effect is a little extra water weight, primarily from increased water associated with muscle tissue. GI upset can occur, particularly with large doses. Healthy adults generally tolerate creatine well, but someone with known kidney disease or significant kidney-risk factors should discuss supplementation with their clinician first. Office of Dietary Supplements.
Creatine has potential value well beyond strength and bodybuilding.
- Longevity / healthy aging: Creatine can help preserve muscle mass, strength, and physical function, especially when combined with resistance training. That matters because loss of muscle and strength with age is closely tied to frailty, falls, and loss of independence.
- Brain health: The brain uses creatine as part of its energy-buffering system. Supplementation may improve certain aspects of memory and cognitive performance, particularly in people with lower dietary creatine intake, older adults, or during periods of sleep deprivation and mental fatigue. The evidence is promising, but not as strong as it is for muscle performance.
- Recovery: Creatine can help replenish phosphocreatine stores between hard efforts, supporting repeated training performance. Some studies also suggest it may reduce exercise-related muscle damage and help recovery after strenuous exercise, although results are not completely consistent.
- Metabolic health: By supporting greater muscle mass and better training capacity, creatine may indirectly help glucose handling and metabolic health. Some research suggests creatine combined with exercise can improve glucose uptake and glycemic control, but it should not be presented as a treatment for diabetes or insulin resistance.
- Cellular energy: Creatine essentially acts as an energy reserve for tissues with high energy demands, particularly muscle and brain. That is one reason researchers are studying it in aging, neurological disease, rehabilitation, and fatigue-related conditions.
For most healthy adults, 3–5 g of creatine monohydrate daily is the standard long-term dose. The strongest evidence remains for muscle, strength, and exercise performance. Brain, aging, recovery, and metabolic benefits are legitimate areas of research, but some of the claims you see online are ahead of the evidence.

Do you ever feel like your body is still “on” even after the stressful part of the day is
over? That is one reason the vagus nerve, HRV and nervous system regulation are getting so much attention. Your fight-or-flight response is important. The problem is when your body has a hard time shifting back toward rest and recovery. That can show up as poor sleep, tension, brain fog, digestive changes, feeling wired but tired, or simply never feeling fully recovered.
The goal is not to eliminate stress. It is to become better at moving between stress and recovery. That is also why people are paying more attention to things like breathing, movement, sleep
habits and HRV trends. Which one usually shows up first for you when stress is building: poor sleep, tension, digestive issues, brain fog, or feeling wired but tired?
Tell us in the comments. We would genuinely like to know what is most common in our
community.
This morning we talked about the vagus nerve, fight-or-flight, and why so many people
feel wired but tired.
If that sounds familiar, the next step is not more guessing.
At Soterra, we use HRV assessment and nervous-system recovery technologies to
help you better understand how your body is handling stress and recovery.
No single tool is magic. The goal is to look at the bigger picture, understand what your body may be telling you, and find a smarter place to start.

ROUGE ULTIMATE G4
Soterra uses a full-body, eight-wavelength red and near-infrared system with adjustable wavelength control and high irradiance, according to manufacturer specifications.
Eight Selectable Wavelengths
The G4 provides eight selectable wavelengths and high irradiance. Higher output allows Soterra to deliver the selected light dose within practical session times; clinical effect still depends on wavelength, dose, distance, protocol, and individual factors.
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT & BODY-COMPOSITION SUPPORT
Rouge Care markets the Ultimate G4, including its 1060-nm wavelength, as an adjunct to weight-management and body-contouring routines. At Soterra, red light is positioned as an adjunct—not a stand-alone obesity treatment—and can be paired with nutrition, activity, and objective body-composition tracking. Individual results vary.
WHY SOTERRA USES THE G4
We selected it for eight wavelengths, adjustable wavelength control, high-output full-body coverage, and protocol flexibility. Those are measurable system features; individual wellness outcomes vary.
