Not because I’m not proud of it… but because living it felt heavier than writing it ever could.

I lost both of my parents to cancer.

Then I heard the words I never thought I’d hear for myself…

“You have breast cancer.”

And I was a single mother of four at the time.

My youngest was only 1.

There were days I smiled in front of my children while silently trying to hold myself together in private.

But I kept going.

For them.

For me.

For my purpose.

And today… my story has been published.
