PA State Legislators recognize March as National Athletic Training Month!

New wellness center in Millersville offers AT services to the public!

National Athletic Training Month is celebrated each March to spread awareness about the important work of athletic trainers and this year’s theme is "Champions in Health Care. There are more than 3,000 Athletic Trainers licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania!

Licensed Athletic Trainers have a long history of providing quality healthcare and applying evidence-based knowledge and skills to care for and protect people. Athletic trainers are highly skilled health care professionals who specialize in immediate, acute, and emergency care. They also provide examinations, assessments, and diagnoses. Athletic trainers work to prevent injury, provide risk management assessments, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injury and illness.

Ignite Health and Wellness is an exciting new wellness center in Millersville offers Athletic Training and Licensed Massage Therapy services all physically active persons.

For the past 25 years Dr. Scott Dietrich, EdD, LAT, CSCS says “I’ve been treating and educating student athletes covering events from high school and college sports to Marathons and Professional rodeo. I believe everyone can benefit from the services of an Athletic Trainers especially in the recovery aspect of sport and performance.”

Ignite health and wellness offers Cold Plunge, steam sauna, vibration chair massage, red light therapy, active and passive stretching, pneumatic leg compression, performance assessment, balance and fall prevention, functional movement assessment, 1 on 1 functional fitness, CPR and Stop the bleed training.
