When the curly dry rough draft chop is so satisfying! πŸ˜˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Hi my name's Emily and I still make mistakes a lot! 🫣
Sometimes I have an idea and it doesn't work, or sometimes I'm planning and overlook the details. I'm so glad I created a space where my clients feel safe asking me to fix my mistakes.
My clients money piece went wonky and she reached out to me saying "don't kill me but can we fix this". In this case her hair looked fine when it was down, but she often pulls it back and the difference between a bigger highlight and the skinny one I placed in front was weird and visible. Won't try that technique again lol
I would never be upset ! Please always reach out. I will never become defensive or weird and am super happy to fix it ASAP.
Thank you for trusting and believing in me! 🫢🏻

*THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS*
(I remembered on a Wednesday! πŸ˜‰)

My all time favorite deep treatment conditioner is the good old Joico Kpak Reconstructor! This OG deep treatment cannot be beat. It repairs damage like no other! Whether you have over processed your hair, used too much heat, been rough on it over the summer, given yourself a chemical haircut, know you're going to chemically process your fragile hair soon, etc... When breakage is happening you NEED THIS. The entire line is decent, but the magic is in the Reconstructor!
This is specifically for breakage and damage repair, it is protein heavy. If you are unsure if this is the right product for you, ask me!

As always no AI was used in the creation of these slides, and I only guarantee products bought from licensed salons or retailers!

πŸ“’πŸ“’ After very popular demand... On November 1st I will open my books for new clients from referrals only!

*What this means: New clients may book appointments if they've been referred from current clients! My books are not totally open to everyone yet.

*How this works: New clients may book an appointment with me, and in the notes section please write who referred you! Current clients can tell their friends, coworkers, and family members to come sit in my chair now and say "tell Emily I sent you!"!

Thank you all for supporting me and my business πŸ€—πŸ«ΆπŸ»

Fun fact... Bleach and tones are NOT ON MY MENU! For specific regular clients who ask, I will panic through it. This client has slowly but surely been turning into an anime game character. She went full blonde and committed! 😎

The reason I don't post many before and afters anymore is because 90% of my clients now are refreshes/retouches and not big changes. The same color retouched, the same foil pattern brought back up to the scalp, the same haircut trimmed up an inch etc.
So here's a quick little before, during, and after a partial foil, tome, and haircut service! As you can see, not much changed except her roots and fresh ends, but this service was 2.5 hours!
I always want to post my work but this is my bread and butter! Retouches and chit chatting and then I forget lol Do we like this style of just posting quick unedited before and afters??

DRY SHAMPOO EDITION
I live on dry shampoo, but it's also a good style! My favorite dry shampoo is TWO! Because you use them differently and they serve different purposes.

BATISTE is the best. I have used every dry shampoo under the sun from super expensive to super cheap and I always come back to this brand. Professional dry shampoos don't work for me, and provide unpredictable results on others, but Batiste never fails. I am a smells person and always grab a different scent and I love that I can get it from Walmart, as seen by my photo on a Walmart aisle. The colored sprays are excellent for scalp coverage on thin hair, I also use them for ups and weddings. Spray some in liberally in sections, let it sit, then brush it out. If you have dark hair and are left with a white cast, hairspray makes it go away! Always recommend Batiste.

Now, K18 Dry shampoo is amazing, but different. It is a liquid and it does make your hair wet. Depending on your hair type and style this may or may not be the best dry shampoo for you. I use this for my bangs on a daily basis and then re-dry and style them because I wear them straight. Sometimes on my day 3 of curls when I spray my curls down I will hit the part line with some of this dry shampoo and I obviously don't blow dry curls, but when it dries it looks clean again! Never a white cast, and it works VERY well even when used sparingly. It is pricey, but I've had this little bottle for almost a year and use it at least 2x a week.

BOTH dry shampoos work absorbing oil. Both add texture and volume!

As always, I only recommend buying products from salons or licensed retailers.

Deeply saddened to hear about my clients sudden passing. Jeff was a cool dude who also loved horror movies and shows, you could tell he was a great partner to his new wife who is my client as well. Help her out if you can πŸ’”

A candid sneak peak into what it's like to sit in my chair!
Yes I got approval from their mama.
Fun fact: I've done that tongue thing since I was a kid and I hate it! πŸ₯΄πŸ˜‚

** THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS**

The only way I could start a favorite product series. πŸ™ŒπŸ»

If you've been in my chair, you should already know this... Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum will always be my OG. A light weight silicone serum that is the GOAT in many different ways. In my almost 20 years of doing hair I have never found any other product that behaves the same.

It is not heavy and doesn't weigh down fine hair. It can be used as a leave in conditioner, heat protector, or smoothing serum. It can be used to add shine and smooth natural curls. It can be used on wet hair as a detangler, heat protector, or defrizzer.

I literally use this on almost everybody who sits in my chair, and myself. I will neverrrrr not sing its praises! Oils are too heavy and greasy, heat protector sprays are a waste of time, THIS WILL ALWAYS BE MY NUMBER ONE!

P.S. Absolutely no AI was or will ever be used in making these slides!
Paul Mitchell

I don't support buying professional products from anywhere besides salons or licensed retailers.
