CARVART TODAY
Thirty years of evolution have shaped CARVART into something far beyond its beginnings in architectural glass. Today, the company operates as a design driven architectural partner, bringing together materials, systems, engineering, fabrication, and ex*****on to solve increasingly complex design challenges. The focus is no longer simply on responding to what the market needs, but on helping define what comes next.
That evolution came from recognizing a disconnect within the industry. Architects and designers envision spaces as cohesive environments, yet individual products, finishes, and systems often come from different sources that were never designed to work together. CARVART saw an opportunity to bridge those gaps, expanding from individual products into more complete architectural solutions across walls, doors, bathrooms, dividers, glass, metal, wood, stone, and other integrated elements.
Today, that approach begins with design. CARVART develops products and systems in house, bringing design, engineering, prototyping, testing, and refinement together through a coordinated process from concept through production. Design, engineering, preconstruction, fabrication, and project management become part of one connected process, allowing an idea to move from concept through ex*****on without losing the intent that defined it in the first place.
The new CARVART Residential Bath program is a clear expression of that thinking. Rather than approaching shower enclosures, vanities, medicine cabinets, hardware, accessories, and finishes as separate components, the collection was developed as a cohesive environment. Products were designed around one another, finishes were curated to align across the space, and new solutions were created where existing ones fell short. It represents a more proactive approach to product development, anticipating what designers need rather than reacting project by project.
CARVART today is the result of every chapter that came before it: craftsmanship expanded through technology, materials connected through systems, global partnerships strengthened by local expertise and decades of problem solving.

GLOBAL CRAFT, LOCAL EX*****ON
As CARVART continued to evolve, looking beyond the U.S. became an important part of expanding what was possible. For Edward, many of those relationships began nearly two decades ago on the floors of European trade shows, where new approaches to hardware, architectural systems, manufacturing, and design offered a glimpse into where the industry was heading.
Those trips became a source of both inspiration and opportunity. New ideas discovered abroad influenced CARVART’s own glass designs, colors, finishes, and systems, while relationships with manufacturers developed into long term partnerships. Over time, the company learned that the right product was only the beginning. The people behind it, their commitment to quality, and their willingness to collaborate were equally important.
That collaboration became increasingly significant as European products were introduced to the U.S. market. Different glass thicknesses, building standards, accessibility requirements, and design expectations meant systems could rarely be brought over unchanged. CARVART worked directly with its partners to adapt and redesign them for ASTM standards, ADA requirements, UL listings, and the needs of American architecture.
CARVART also brought a strong design direction to these partnerships, pushing for cleaner detailing, concealed hardware, new glass configurations, and more refined architectural solutions. European partners brought manufacturing expertise and technical capability, while CARVART brought design vision, knowledge of the U.S. market, and an understanding of what architects and designers were looking for. Together, those strengths led to new systems and products developed collaboratively from the ground up.
As the relationships matured, they evolved into exclusive partnerships and collaboratively developed product lines. It was never simply about bringing European products to America. It was about combining global expertise with CARVART’s design direction and local knowledge to create solutions specifically suited to the U.S. architectural market.

EXPANDING THE MATERIAL LANGUAGE
As architectural design evolved, so did the role of glass. What began with decorative etched panels gradually expanded into a broader exploration of color, texture, transparency, and layered materials. As new lamination technologies emerged, CARVART saw an opportunity not just to improve the product, but to rethink what architectural glass could become.
Advances in lamination opened entirely new possibilities. Colors, textures, interlayers, fabrics, metallic meshes, and specialty materials could now be combined into unique compositions that weren’t possible before. Rather than simply introducing new products, CARVART embraced a culture of experimentation, continually testing new ideas and discovering new ways to layer materials together. Early innovations like the CARVART Modular System, paired with the CARVART Virtual Sample, allowed architects to mix and match textures, colors, and glass types while visualizing thousands of possible combinations long before digital configurators became common.
As the collections evolved, so did CARVART’s approach. Glass was no longer viewed as a standalone product, and hardware was no longer treated as a separate offering. Together, they became part of a more complete architectural solution. By introducing innovative European hardware systems and pairing them with custom architectural glass, CARVART began offering a more integrated approach that better reflected the needs of architects and designers.
This period also marked the beginning of a more thoughtful approach to materials as a whole. Metallic meshes, textiles, natural interlayers, and decorative elements expanded what could be achieved within glass, while each new collection pushed craftsmanship and technology forward together. Every material was selected not simply for its appearance, but for how it contributed to the overall design experience.
Over time, this philosophy extended beyond individual products. Every new material, finish, and system was carefully curated to work together across the broader CARVART offering, ensuring consistency from one solution to the next.

SCALING WITHOUT COMPROMISE
Growth was never measured simply by adding space or expanding the team. As Edward reflects on this chapter of CARVART’s history, he describes it as a series of evolutions rather than one defining moment. Each challenge became the foundation for the next, transforming the company from its roots in decorative carved glass into a trusted partner for increasingly sophisticated architectural environments.
As the work evolved, so did the complexity of the projects. Milestones like Aire Ancient Baths, YOTEL, Citigroup building, and Infor represented more than completed installations. Each project introduced new technical challenges, expanded the company’s expertise, and reinforced a culture built around problem solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Every successful project opened the door to the next opportunity.
This period also marked a significant shift in CARVART’s direction. The company moved beyond simply fabricating architectural glass and began embracing integrated hardware systems, custom detailing, and complete architectural solutions. Rather than following industry trends, CARVART became increasingly design forward, introducing innovative products, refining its own systems, and helping shape the next generation of interior architecture.
Alongside this evolution came a renewed focus on the brand itself. The company refined its visual identity, strengthened its voice, and established a clearer design language that reflected where CARVART was heading. It wasn’t just about growing the business; it was about defining what the business stood for and how that vision would be communicated to architects, designers, and clients.
Just as important were the people behind the work. By investing in the right team, fostering a culture of growth, and creating opportunities for employees to evolve alongside the company, CARVART built a foundation that continues to define who it is today.

PROCESS BECOMES THE PRODUCT
2005-2012
As projects became more ambitious, CARVART’s role expanded beyond decorative and fabricated glass alone. The work was no longer centered on simply supplying materials or components. It became increasingly focused on solving larger architectural challenges through collaboration, technical understanding, and system development.
During this period, design assist became a defining part of the CARVART process. Early coordination with architects and design teams allowed concepts to evolve through engineering, prototyping, mockups, and continuous refinement before reaching production.
At the same time, the work itself was becoming more complex. Projects now required the integration of glass, metal systems, architectural hardware, specialty finishes, and custom detailing that demanded tighter coordination between trades and a higher level of technical ex*****on.
Rather than forcing projects into standard solutions, systems were adapted around the specific needs of each environment. Profiles, hardware, finishes, attachment methods, and assemblies were evaluated not only for constructability, but for how they supported the overall architectural vision.
As interior architecture evolved, expectations around architectural glass systems became more demanding. Projects required cleaner integration, improved performance, greater flexibility, and more refined ex*****on across increasingly complex systems and materials. CARVART responded by developing internal workflows and technical processes that allowed complex ideas to move from concept to reality with greater consistency and control.
Collaboration became as important as fabrication itself. Architects returned not simply because of the final product, but because of the company’s reliability, adaptability, and ability to solve technical challenges in real time.
This period marked a major shift for the company. CARVART was no longer operating solely as a glass fabricator. It had evolved into a strategic architectural partner where engineering, coordination, process, and ex*****on carried equal importance to the material itself.
