cSituation (CS) is an intimate social event designed to spark conversation, break down generational silos, and cultivate meaningful connections. cSituation's salon-style social events bring together Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z for:

Curated Conversations: Every event features a timely topic (I Can’t Live Without My Cellphone, Politic-King, Single vs. A mix of guided prompts and free-flow dialogue ensures everyone, from first-time panelists to seasoned experts to audience members, has a voice. Entrepreneur Spotlights: Businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, and more get 10–20 minutes of air time to “showcase” their personal story, brand, and offerings. The Bridge: Whether it’s a breakout game, a mini gallery installation, a live how-to session, or a 30-second spoken-word performance, the cSituation interludes can deepen empathy, entertain, or offer insights that spark fresh perspectives. Organic Networking: Grab a name tag, but this won't be a forced icebreakers—just thoughtfully selected guests in an inviting loft, gallery space, or coffee shop. Connections happen naturally over thematic “conversation stations,” curated playlists, and a communal drink or snack. During our five-year run (pre-pandemic), cSituation events were dubbed, ‘Where the Tribe Takes Root and Grows.’ Attendees left with not only new contacts but with unexpected insights and a renewed sense of community across generations.

September 1, 2016, 10 years ago today, 49ers quarterback colin kaepernick put his life, career, and livelihood on the line when he kneeled during the national anthem. Once he explained the reason behind why he was kneeling, the sports, activism, and corporate world as we all knew it, was changed forever.

On November 19, 2017
11 months after Colin played his last game in the NFL, 2 months after #45 called for NFL owners to fire players that didn’t stand for the national anthem, and 5 day after Kapernick as names Time’s “Person of the Year,” cSituation hosted the event.

This is by far one of the most powerful conversations we’ve facilitated. Everything discussed on that day in 2017 could very well have been discussed yesterday.

Colin Kaepernick sacrificed so much to send a message of solidarity to the Black community. For so many Black people to take his actions lightly is egregious.

cSituation has and will always be a supporter of Colin Kaepernick. He is the true definition of what a Black leader and role model should be. Which is, someone who unapologetically stands ten toes down for his people and their fight for justice in this country.

A HUGE thank you to each of our guests for this candid conversation! We learned a lot from each other during those three hours.

cSituation was always a Sunday therapy session!

Now that kneeling is over, how are we keeping the very fight that Colin lost everything for going?

Remember when the world stopped on March 11, 2020? Of course you do, because who could forget?!

2020 was the official start of a global pandemic. That year saw mic purchases at an all-time high, Zoom happy hours for “company morale,” TikTok viral dances everywhere you turned, and there was a whole lot of time to think and be still. 2020 changed how we work, connect, love, commute, and value ourselves. We haven’t fully discussed the impact a worldwide shutdown has had on our community and our psyche.

Join cSituation for a nostalgic (and maybe a little cathartic) look back at the year that redefined everyone’s existence. We’ll reminisce on the trends that got us through the first few months, the shows we binged (TIGER KING!), the hobbies we picked up (and then dropped), and most importantly, the toilet paper panic.

2020’s pandemic produced a lot of loss and a lot of gains. So what did we learn from that strange, slowed-down time period? It was something that no one had ever seen before and will never see again.

Come for the laughs, the “oh my god I forgot about that” moments, and a genuine conversation about how far we’ve come since the world hit pause.

Day 3 of cSituation Week! We present to you our CHILL event: ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

Cancelled shows we’re still not over. Ticketmaster prices that require a payment plan. R&B that used to make you lose your voice, but now... doesn’t move you an inch. Something has changed around how we’re being entertained, and we need to talk about it.

Bring your opinions on a time when people gathered around the TV at 8 pm to what people do now, binge-watch a show for 7 hours. Let’s chat discovering music on our favorite radio stations back in the day to discovering music from a viral social media dance. KDot’s Super Bowl performance and Drake’s lawsuit, all the things, and more.

This is a conversation for anyone who’s ever asked: is anything entertaining us anymore, are we just entertaining ourselves, or are we the entertainment?

Day 2 of cSituation Week! We present to you our CHILL event: THE ATTENTION RECESSION

We’re overstimulated, overconnected, and more distracted than ever. Between doom-scrolling, ADHD brains fighting algorithms, and notifications that never stop, real focus has become the rarest currency we have.

Researchers have found that the average time people stay focused on a single task has dropped from about 2.5 minutes in 2004 to 40 seconds in 2025! (We in danger, ya’ll)

So what’s happening to us? How can we actually be present with each other when our attention is constantly for sale?

Join us for a raw conversation about the state of our collective focus. We’ll dig into whether the “Attention Recession” is real (spoiler: the stats say yes), what still manages to earn your undivided attention (dying to hear what that is), and whether slow living and digital boundaries can save us from ourselves (cause what goes up, must come ___).

We’ll talk smartphones, social issues, dating app fatigue, and the anxiety of putting your phone down (maybe we’ll try it out in person 👀).

Come ready to think, share, and “focus.” This is one conversation worth your full attention!

📅 Mark your calendars! cSituation Week is September 20-24!

We’ll be kicking off the week with our Colossal event: cSituation’s 10th Anniversary, Reunion, & Relaunch! A decade in, and we’re just getting started.

This anniversary party doubles as a thank you and a welcome celebration. We’ll be raising a glass for the OGs from our 2016–2020 event run and for the new faces joining the CS network in 2026! It’s a rare mix of nostalgia and fresh energy. There’s no better time to kick off the next chapter of cSituation events. Come meet the people who started it, and the new inductees. Both groups are imperative for moving the cSituation network forward.

What to Expect:

- Real conversations and organic networking. Swap stories with familiar faces, make new connections, and maybe find your next collaborator, client, or friend.
- Be ready for the “Where Do We Go From Here?” discussion. This conversation focuses on the direction of where the world is headed: tech, relationships, politics, parenthood, career/entrepreneurship, travel, entertainment, and sooooo much more. We can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it all.
- Signature TellMeWhatYouDrink cocktails, which have always been a cSituation go-to
- Caribbean food to keep you fed while we gyaff and have a good time
- A Tribe Called Flowers, giving you your flowers... (cause you deserve!)
- GOODUP music!
Whether you’ve been here since 2016 or you’re just learning about the cSituation network, we welcome you to a celebration you do not want to miss!

RSVP for this event using the link in the bio. See you soon!

cSituation Week is Coming!

9/20- Come one, come all to our 10th Anniversary Celebration!

And join us for the 'Where Do We Go From Here?' discussion. The world is on one right now. Anybody know how to get off this damn timeline?

9/22- The Attention Recession

Researchers have found that the average time people stay focused on a single task has dropped from about 2.5 minutes in 2004 to 40 seconds in 2025.

Molly, we in danger girl!

9/23- Are You Not Entertained?

Since when did nose bleed seats start at $300? Why do we need to pay $85 in streaming subscriptions to watch four good shows? And let's not get started on the group chats... actually lets.

9/24- Generation XYZ

Generation X, Millenials, and Gen Z hash it out once and for all. What's the beef? Who has the better music? Where are you going to have a good time? And, why it's imperative that these three generations stick together.

RSVP for these events open on Monday, August 17th. Tell a friend to tell a friend to get cSituated!

Which CS event are you coming to?

Photos from cSituation's post 08/14/2026

A cSituation event is a mix of conversations, organic connections, and a one-of-a-kind experience that stays with you long after the night is over.

We focus on the topics that matter to Generations X, Y, and Z. At every event, somebody says what half the room is thinking. While at the same time, somebody else has the safe space to disagree completely. It's all good if a few side-eyes get exchanged, cause that's life and that's how we know we’re cooking.

We’ve talked love, money, politics, mental health, gentrification, social media, relationships, culture, and all the other stuff people usually save for the group chat, the car ride home, or brunch after two mimosas.

The goal is never for everybody to agree. It's to get people in the room, hear each other out, make a connection, and leave with something worth thinking about.

That’s a cSituation.
