Confession: I didn’t like massages when I started massage school. 😅

So when it was time for our first massage trade in school, I told my classmate, “You don’t have to work on me. I’ll just work on you.”

My instructor convinced me to get on the table anyway and the rest is history.

If you’ve always thought massage was supposed to hurt because of a past experience with a loved one or a therapist who used too much pressure, you may not have found the right therapist yet.

Massage doesn’t have to be painful to be effective. My goal is to help you feel better, not brace yourself through the entire session 😭

I usually work the hands with the client face up, but this client requested deeper pressure.

He’s an auto detailer who works on RVs and boats, so his hands & fingers take a beating.

We started his 120 min session with a 15 minute Epsom salt soak for the hands while the posterior legs were being worked.

Working the hands face down allowed me to get a little deeper, especially after the hands had been soaking in warm water. For those who work with their hands all day, that extra attention can make a big difference.
