8 Rules I Live By to Avoid Situationships

1. I don't entertain mixed signals.
If someone likes me, they should show it through consistent actions, not just words. I don't chase clarity from people who enjoy keeping things uncertain. Mixed signals are already an answer.

4. I pay attention to consistency, not potential.
I no longer fall for who someone could become. I pay attention to who they are today, how they communicate, and how they treat me consistently.

5. I protect my peace more than my feelings.
I'd rather walk away from something uncertain than stay hoping it turns into something real. The right person won't require me to sacrifice my self respect just to keep them around.

6. I don't ignore red flags just because there's chemistry.
Attraction can be exciting, but it's not enough to build a healthy relationship. If someone's actions consistently make me question my worth or peace, I don't romanticize it –I walk away.

7. I don't confuse attention with intention.
Frequent messages, compliments or late night conversations don't automatically mean someone wants a relationship. I pay attention to whether their actions show genuine commitment, not just temporary interest.

8. I'm willing to walk away, even when I like them.
The hardest boundary is knowing when to leave. I've learned that staying in something uncertain only delays the chance of finding something real. If we're not on the same page, I'd rather let go than settle.
