People often think great braids start with great technique, but the truth is they start with a great consultation.
Before I begin any braid service, there are 3 things I always evaluate:
1️⃣ Hair Density
I assess how much hair we’re working with and whether we’re braiding a full head or a partial style. This helps me determine the proper box size, braid size, and overall design for the most balanced and natural-looking result.
2️⃣ Scalp Health
A healthy scalp is the foundation of a successful install. I evaluate the condition of the scalp to determine which products will best support my client’s needs. One of my favorites is the Cool Sensation Dandruff Shampoo, formulated with antifungal, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties to help cleanse, soothe, and maintain a healthy scalp environment.
3️⃣ Inspiration Photo
I always ask my clients what they want to look like. Inspiration photos help me understand their vision so I can customize the style to complement their face shape, hair density, and desired outcome as closely as possible.
Luxury results don’t happen by accident.

There is so much noise in the world right now.
So many opinions. So many headlines. So much fear. So much confusion.
And if we are not careful, we can become more focused on what the world is saying than what God has already spoken.
Yes, we should be aware.
Yes, we should pray.
Yes, we should care about what is happening around us.
But we cannot let propaganda steal our peace, fear lead our decisions, or chaos become louder than our faith.
God is still Lord over all.
He is not surprised.
He is not intimidated.
He is not confused.
And He has not forgotten His people.
Matthew 6:33 reminds us to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”
So today, I’m choosing prayer over panic.
Faith over fear.
Kingdom over chaos.
Peace over propaganda.
Keep your mind stayed on Him.
Pray more. Worry less.
